everybody this past 6 months has either died or got engaged so that's great for the mental health 🙃

i tried to keep count and i'm not even sure it's all but of all the women i follow on social media (mind you 4 of these are celebs the others aren't) about 15 got engaged in the past year and a half ....... do i have a good luck chuck thing going for people i follow online?

time for a literary rant: over 10 years ago i began reading a book series from a self published author. they have another series which was pretty successfull and consists of 15+ books so i always knew their main focus was that one. fine. but this other series i read got me hooked and i was very excited when book 5 came out around 2017. i was even more excited after reading it cause it left many questions open and backstories to explore and i couldn't wait to dig into the characters past. the author even said on a podcast (which i think is not online anymore) that they planned 10 books so i waited. and waited. i thought they set the series aside to focus on their best selling one and other new projects. yesterday i check on their website wondering why after 10 years there's no news and under their bibliography it says "series completed". just like that. to be fair they're really bad at social media and don't even use their instagram and their website is a blog where they last posted in 2025. needless to say i'm disappointed and upset. it's their right to stop if they feel creatively stuck but they didn't even write a post justifying their decision to end the series - even tho it was mildly successful and had a small following. and now i'm just left here sitting with the what could have been of that story and it stings 😞
