Billy, who flinches and trembles and holds Skull’s hand in a vice while getting his ears pierced after having already sat through Skull getting a belly piercing and two more piercings in his upper ear shells. Billy all mortified while Skull just pats his head and then takes him out for burgers. Contrariwise. Skull, who has to walk directly along the center of a bridge, can’t drive near rivers, and gets dizzy standing on a ladder; while Billy puts the holiday lights on their three story house, has jumped out of a plane for parachuting, and always hugs the poor punk in the aftermath.

Commissioned Art By: The Amazing, Splendiferous, Fantabulous @felonius-glitch~ Who gets my eternal love and affection for completing one of the more unusual AUs gnawing at my brain with the more obnoxiously complicated references I’ve handed over. Basics of the AU are as follows: Skull is definitely of the pirate persuasion, but definitely not the captain of a ship. Possibly he’s a former Wench that took up the opportunity to not be stationed at a port because his bestfriend was tired of seeing him suffer the outcome of rough trade. He owns an awful lot of soft clothing–gifts from former clientele–but he owns more sharp things. You only see the one cutlass, but he absolutely has other things. Billy is absolutely, 100% not pirate material and did not sign up for being on a boat in the middle of the ocean at least one third of his time–he has sea sickness for the first three months–where he burns to a crisp if he’s above deck in midday. He is an explorer, a researcher, an intellect of highest esteem–a member of the royal court like all of his forefathers–who blushes like a maiden every time he sees Skull fresh out of bed at breakfast. Still working on the rest.

Honestly I have never seen a tumblr artists’ commission prices and thought “too expensive.” I understand it’s a fan community, but when the average retoucher charges 100$/hour and artists are charging like, 20$ max for like a FULL COLOURED THING PERSON THING??? i’m like WHAT??? I CAN”T EVEN FUCKING DRAW A BLOB that would take me 500 years why is it 20$ and i just sit there bein glike. so. what if i bought 20. or whatever. the point is I think tumblr should look at creative services and what they charge. I shot casual grad photos as a favour for someone and it was 70$/30 minutes. FANDOM ARTISTS ARE GIVING IT TO YOU EASY LSKDJFLSDKJ give them your money as fast as you can i don’t think this is sustainable nad you should get it while stocks last.

please remember that tipping someone when you commission them is absolutely something you can do! artists have to set their prices to what the market average is on this site (which is woefully low) so tipping an extra £5 or £10 can really help. consider it next time you commission someone.

I will probably never buy art. Mostly because I’m poor. Instead I will be thrilled silly by art won in contests, and reblog artists I enjoy. I’ve absolutely seen art that’s too expensive. And by ‘too expensive’, I mean I cannot fathom, in my financial state, buying high-priced art of my character (no matter how much I love her.) Because.. I have bills. It is too expensive for me.

AND SO DO ARTISTS. It’s their time and their skill and their budget so they can charge whatever the hell they want, within reason. (And by that, I mean a ten minute sketch ought not cost 100 dollars.) You’re buying something because you can’t do it yourself. So if an artist charges ‘too much’, that means they’re charging too much for you. Not that their prices are unfair.

There’s nothing wrong with a little light negotiation. And negotiating requires things on both sides. Ask for the style you like, but with no background or limited shading for a slightly lower price; maybe that’s worth it for the artist because it could take less time and work. And if it’s not, drop it and scout around for an artist or different type of art that fits your budget. But do not tell them that they need to change their prices for you. What the hell.

Romantic beats that make me go feral for no reason

Character A is captured/goes missing, and character B is ready to give up everything to save them, and everyone is watching them and thinking "yeah, there might be some feelings there other than friendship," but they don't care because they just need character A back so badly.

Character A (talking about an object that they're both looking at): Isn't it beautiful? Character B (looking directly at them): Yeah. Beautiful.

Their hands accidentally touch and they both refuse to move or say anything because that would disrupt the moment and make things awkward, and they just wanna stay where they are.

Character A is captured by the villain of the story, who proceeds to call them out on ALL of their bullshit because it's painfully obvious to everyone else how in love with each other the characters are, but the villain is the only one saying it out loud.

Something big happened plot wise and now the characters are sick of fucking around and denying their feelings because they're worried they might not have a chance to confess, so one of them just looks the other straight in the eye and says "I'm in love with you."

Also angry love confessions. That's it.
