Hey!
I've meant to ask, but haven't encountered anyone from the denomination: what does "Apostolic" mean for yall?
Hi, Thank you so much for the ask!
Apostolic means we are built upon the teachings of the apostles and the prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. We believe God is one person/being revealed as the Father in Creation, the Son in his humanity and redemption (still divine), and as the Holy Ghost in regeneration God the Father is a Spirit, and placed his divine Spirit in the man Christ Jesus showing his manifestation as God almighty. We do not deny the existence of all three, but we believe he is One.
We baptize in Jesus name because the name of Father IS Jesus, the name of the Son IS Jesus, and the name of the Holy Ghost IS Jesus, this aligns with both Matthew 28:19 (it only mentions one singular name, that name is Jesus) and Acts 2:38 and many more verses in scripture. Salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of submerged Baptism in Jesus name as well as being born again in the Spirit/being filled with Holy Ghost and continuing steadfastly in our walk with God.
Matthew 28:19
Acts 2:38
John 1:1-3
John 1:10-12
John 1:14
John 3
Acts 4:12
James 2:14-26
Colossians 3:17
John 14:9
Colossians 2:9
1st Timothy 3:16
Pentecostal means we believe in the infilling of the Holy Ghost like on the day of Pentecost and throughout the New Testament (and spoken of in the Old Testament) with the initial evidence (but not the only sign) of speaking in other tongues, miracles signs and wonders, and power and authority over spirits of darkness.
Isaiah 28:11-12
Joel 2:28
Mark 16:17
Acts 19:2-6
Acts 10:42-48
1st Corinthians 14
Ephesians 6:12
Mark 16:17
James 4:7
Luke 10:19
Matthew 10:1
Mark 9:29
We also believe in separation from the world and dressing modestly. We also do not partake in everything the world does, and we show ourselves separate in our actions, lifestyles, attitudes, how we treat ourselves and others, and our conversations.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask or DM me! God bless you 🤍
I am a pentecostal! I am not ashamed!
I desire to get married someday. I desire to have a family of my own. But I have to continually remind myself that although it’s good to desire these things, I must always desire God more. I must always desire Jesus before and above all things. I cannot lose focus of Him in the process. There is more to this life than being married and having kids—and it is knowing Christ personally. Even if I get married someday and have kids, even then I must still desire God more. He is the foundation of everything—the beginning and the end.

Thankful to the Lord for being able to go out and have renewed hope that the chair won't be forever empty. In His right time at the right place, it will be filled by someone who is after His own heart. But again, the will of the Lord be done!
I will wait my future ministry and life partner. 💗

Though it is not easy, I choose to climb out of the pit of failures.
Help me God. 😭
Life's not been perfect but God sustains it. Behind these pictures are failures and fears but as long as God is with me and in His will, I will be someone who still believes and tries.
Yay!
