This really a strong ass picture. Black women are super heroes!
I love everything about this, but might I ask. Why the FUCK is schooling so bad in America that a woman who just gave birth has to prepare for an exam tomorrow? @the American education system, bitch
I remember getting ready to fight a teacher because he kicked out a single mother who’s babysitter fell through. The baby wasn’t even crying. I got his ass fired.
I remember my friend taking her exam while her water was breaking, because her professor wouldn’t allow her to take the exam at a later date.
you know, maybe we shouldnt glorify this shit and start working on making it so that women can have fucking kids and not get fucked over by the system.
i was gonna say….this made me kinda sad lmao she should be resting. this isn’t “strong” it’s a sign of a failed system

why is concept art always 300% better than the final product especially in western animation
99% of the replies to this are twelve page essays about how time consuming it would be to animate concept art like . buddy. i know. im in film school for animation. u ppl needa know how 2 see a funie joke on the internet and move on without takin it so seriously
aight but have none of those ppl seen The Book of Life bc uh lemme tell you
the concept art and the finalized versions of sets, characters, and scenes in the film look THE SAME. The Book of Life had a lower budget than Frozen too so uh…….. 👀 y’all need to open ya eyes
tbh the book of life looked even better than its concept art
Book of Life is probably one of the few examples of the concept art looking remotely similar to it’s movie. And yeah, Book of Life only cost $50 and it looks better than Frozen which was like triple that.
Also it’s really not that hard to make two female leads look like different people. If your leading ladies look like the same person with different wigs, you need to go back to the drawing board.
also gotta consider the toy lines & merch these films produce. Disney knows they can get away with copy/paste models, which makes it so much more easier for toy manufacturers to produce the same identical dolls. Some cases the toy lines produce more money than the films combined. Book of Life is a passion project. Frozen is a successful business decision under late capitalism. Book of Life will grace with age and be remembered for its art, but Frozen will continue to remain relevant until Disney milks it dry with sequels.
“Pants were invented for men” not according to my ancestors.
Pants were invented for riding horses. People who didn’t have nomad horse culture all wore dresses. Dress wearing old greek men considered pants to be the mark of barbarism. Like the Scynthians and Samaritans.
Also- the Scynthian and Samaritan tribes were known for equality between genders. Where women were renouned hunters and archers. They are where the greeks got the idea for Amazons.
So sorry bro pants are totally for women. You just mad its for riding something that’s not you.
Okay but like based on genital structure, it would actually make sense for mean to wear skirts and women pants, why are we even talking about logic

hey friends, if you care about cultural appropriation and the damage it causes, please check out this awesome project!
in 2017 dior copied the design of a traditional romanian coat from the county of bihor and sold it for 30,000 euro, giving no credit to the local artisans. in response, romanian fashion magazine beau monde helped the community create their own brand, bihor couture, which sells the original coat, handmade to order, for 500 euro a piece. they also sell other traditional clothing and jewelry for much more accessible prices (5-45 euro). they’ve been hugely successful so far, and currently have enough pre-orders to cover 4.5 years of work, with 100% of the profits returning to the community.
it’s surprisingly common for big name fashion designers like dior, gaultier, tom ford and altuzarra to copy traditional romanian clothing and sell it for ridiculous prices, with minimal original input, while giving nothing back to the community where these designs originated. it’s completely unfair that a big name designer can just steal so much hard work and misuse it to make huge profits.
please support bihor couture, if not by ordering one of their products, then by spreading the news around. it’s really awesome to see a small community fight back against cultural appropriation so successfully. i hope they carry on for a long time!
This is so wonderful to see!
