Meeting the Obligations
In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people. — Colossians 3:23 NCV
Nobody needs to tell you the obvious: You have lots of responsibilities—obligations to yourself, to your family, to your community, and to your God. And which of these duties should take priority? The answer can be found in Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you” (HCSB)
When “you seek first the kingdom of God”, all your other obligations have a way of falling into place. When you obey God’s word and seek His will, your many responsibilities don’t seem quite so burdensome. When you honor God with your time, your talents, and your prayers, you’ll be much more likely to count your blessings instead of your troubles.
So do yourself and your loved ones a favor: take all your duties seriously, especially your duties to God. When you do, you’ll discover that pleasing your Father in heaven isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s also the best way to live.

Forgiveness is Liberating
Those who show mercy to others are happy, because God will show mercy to them. Matthew 5:7 NCV Bitterness is a form of self-punishment; forgiveness is a means of self-liberation. Bitterness focuses on the injustices of the past; forgiveness focuses on the blessing of the present and the opportunities of the future. Bitterness is an emotion that destroys you; forgiveness is a decision that empowers you. Bitterness is folly; forgiveness is wisdom.
Sometimes, amid the demands of daily life, we lose perspective. Life seems out of balance, and the pressures of everyday living seem overwhelming. What's needed is a fresh perspective, a restored balance . . . and God's wisdom.
If we call upon the Lord and seek to see the world through His eyes, He will give us guidance, wisdom and perspective. When we make God's priorities our priorities, He will lead us according to His plan and according to His commandments. When we study God's Word, we are reminded that God's reality is the ultimate reality. May we live-and forgive-accordingly.

He Heals the Brokenhearted
God blesses the people who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 NLT Women of every generation have experienced adversity, and this generation is no different. But, today's women face challenges that previous generations could have scarcely imagined. Thankfully, although the world continues to change, God's love remains constant. And, He remains ready to comfort us and stregthen us whenever we turn to Him. Psalm 147 promises, "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds their wounds" (v.3). When we are troubled, we must call upon God, and, in His own time and according to His own plan, He will heal us.
If you are like most women, it is simply a fact of life: from time to time, you worry. You worry about health, about finances, about safety, about relationships, about family, and about countless other challenges of life, some great some small. Where is the best place to take your worries? Take them to God. Take your troubles to Him, and your fears, and your sorrows. Seek protection from the One who cannot be moved.
