#I think I’ve figured out how to get it to sit right on my face now lol #I specifically wanted one for dogs not people so the straps aren’t designed for my head but I don’t need to wear it for a long time #it’s gonna be part of my demon dog outfit for a local event in a few weeks #and I’m gonna see if I can hang some red beads on it or something too for a fun blood effect :3 #I might need to wear a bandanna under it tho bc the straps are getting caught in my long beautiful hair 😔

Netsuke (根付) are miniature carved sculptures which were very popular accessories in Japan during the Edo period (17th century). Traditional netsuke were made of materials such as wood or ivory.

These netsuke from the collection of the Tokyo National Museum depict the extinct Japanese wolf (although their prominent ribs make them look a bit thylacine-like). They are each about 3.5cm tall. [x]

Realising recently that it’s actually a pretty uncommon experience that I was raised atheist by two atheist/agnostic parents but I’m also a 3rd generation atheist/agnostic on my mum’s side so there’s a fun fact abt me :)

#obviously I had exposure to religion as a kid especially church of england christianity since I grew up in rural england #but looking back it’s rly cool my parents committed to raising their kids without religion while living in a religious community #atheism
