Here we go again
Listening: WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! by RAYE. Very fun and catchy.
Reading: Started Crush by Ada Calhoun and am quite enjoying it so far though I find it quite stressful. It's making me wonder whether I will ever be able to have a long-term committed relationship. They seem doomed to fail. Or at least to hurt.
Watching: Re-watched Set It Up with a friend, which is still quite fun and light-hearted (though more raunchy than I'd remembered). Finished Season 21 of Taskmaster.
Writing: scary emails to request coIs for an NOI that's coming up this week but I did it!
Playing: categories game AGAIN lol. Attempting to propogate a pothos to unclear success.
Making: rag rug tubes. dinner (chicken orzo-risotto) for some friends :)
Noticing: Just how much less I'm on my phone when a friend is staying with me. I liked it. Also, how time is really the only thing we have, and trying to find that inspiring rather than intimidating.

HOLD ON I HAVE A GIF FOR THIS
yes ive been waiting for my moment
every so often i remember how awesome the modern interconnected multicultural world is. i grew up getting to hear fairy tales from all over the world. africa, asia, europe, america. everywhere in between. i can have bagels for breakfast, curry for lunch, and ramen for dinner without even leaving the city limits. music and art and philosophy and technology that originated thousands of miles and years apart from eachother have come together and interwoven into something greater than the sum of its parts. its hard not fall into despair when thinking about the horrors but god. god the wonders.
evoking bertholt brecht’s “the way people cast a play!” quote as a spell against prescriptive, stereotypical, fatalistic typecasting
idk what to tell you except go look at the fishwives
looking. at you
my favorite thing about crocodiles is yeah they're fantastic swimmers and yeah they can run pretty fast and yeah the smaller ones can even climb trees but also. they don't wanna do any of that shit. they just go no, no thanks. that's not for me. i think i'll just wait for someone to mistake me for a log and get too close. and then i'll eat them. many reptiles love this strategy but none pull it off like the humble croc
I need something I just don’t know what it is yet
this has been going on for like 20 years by the way.. I will let you all know when I figure it out

Reading: if I’m being honest, fanfiction
Listening: new episode of behind the bastards about the guy who founded the navy seals. My friends’ album of the Beatles on the drive home.
Watching: live theater! Othello, Something Rotten!, and The Importance of Being Earnest. All absolutely excellent.
Also taskmaster and the World Cup!
Writing: birthday cards for CH and MJK
Making: rag rug
