I chose to draw Damen and Laurent of course, cause I’m so weak with them. Ok! So here is my entry for @capri-secretsanta for participant #21 with your third prompt: some sappy AF Lamen feat. the winter time. Rated M, for some slightly nsfw happenings in the middle or so. I hope you like it! :DD [[Will probably post to Ao3 in a few days]]

Morning winter light filtered in through the windows, a soft glow resting over the stillness of the room. Damen and Laurent were together in the massive bed at the center, bodies pressed, legs tangled, under a mound of soft blankets. Laurent was laying nearly on Damen’s chest, having migrated as close as possible throughout the night for warmth. Damen knew he should probably relight the fire, or at least call someone to, but it seemed near criminal to disrupt the peace of the room, to disturb Laurent’s sleeping form so sweetly on him.

Summary:

‘I would have, you know,’ Damen says once Laurent has snuggled back into the cocoon of their combined bodies, ‘courted you properly if I had had the time.’ The thoughts have risen, recycled and refined over the years, and somehow, neither of them tire of it.

Laurent giggles, his previous anger forgotten. The hot puff of air brushes over Damen’s heart.

‘What? Don’t you believe me?’

‘Like Father would have agreed.’ Though Damen doesn’t see it, he can feel the smile in Laurent’s voice; it lightens the burden of their past. Perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to indulge in the happiness that trails fantasies.

The Dragon of Vere

My gift for participant #39 in the @capri-secretsanta event!

I’m so sorry for not selecting any of your prompts (they were all wonderful, but somehow still didn’t ignite the writing spark) so I chose to include both Erasmus/Kallias and Damen/Laurent in the fic!

Summary: Damen is a knight of some experience. When he receives a letter from the Golden Knight Auguste himself asking him to slay the Dragon of Vere, he is determined to excel at this quest. But when he arrives in Vere, nothing is as it seems, especially not the Mayor’s nephew, Laurent… Erasmus is a knave. He knows it’s his duty to serve a knight someday, but that doesn’t keep him from wishing he can spend forever with Kallias, a fellow knave. Then he gets assigned to serve Ser Damen, leading him far away from his love. All hope seems lost, for even if he can find his way back it may already be too late.

My gift for #12 of the @capri-secretsanta 2017 gift exchange is now on AO3! 

The prompt I went with was “arranged marriage+fantasy” with the pairing being Laurent/Damen, of course. And, in the spirit of the holidays, this is also a Nicaise and Auguste live AU. So expect fluff and light swearing. 

“Do you think a human stole his pelt?” Laurent asked as they swam towards where Nikandros had scented his friend early that day.

Nikandros snorted. “Damen may be dense sometimes, but not even he is that stupid, not even when he’s three sheets to the wind off aged griva.”

“I’d rather find him like that than have to rescue him and a stolen pelt,” Laurent said as he and Nikandros hauled out onto the shore. Casting a look around to make sure there weren’t any humans, both shook off their seal-skin.
