*Somehow, it’s come to be the fact that Makochi just. Harbors a magnet for shenanigans, both good and bad. Considering the police have turned a blind eye to what goes on the town...*
*But there are shenanigans, and then there's a hole appearing out of fucking nowhere on the back of the Bofurin building. Just. Sitting there. Doing nothing.*
*Luckily no one has fallen in, somehow. A miracle. But the students have taken schedules to guard it in case something happens.*
*Right now, it’s Nirei's turn to guard. And as he stands there, just... doing guarding stuff, nothing really happens. Kinda boring.*
*Then he hears it. A distant, quiet scream that starts getting closer and closer, growing louder. Coming from the hole.*
*And then a figure is quite literally flung out of it. Like, thrown right into the air. So now there's someone in the air.*
When he first heard about it, nirei found the whole thing more than a little hard to believe. The rumor sounded like it came straight from Suo’s mouth, a whole song and dance that was just believable enough for the whole school to latch onto…
…Until he saw the damn thing himself.
There was no slope or gradual fall to it; it was a straight vertical death drop with no end in sight. Nirei vaguely remembers kicking a pebble into it. He shudders at the utter lack of the memory of ever hearing a sound.
But as he stood guard, waiting for his shift to end, this time the growing volume of a scream was so much more unsettling than the silence. And—against his better judgement—nirei found himself inching closer and closer, until he was practically leaning over the hole itself.
He squinted his eyes, looking into the darkness for the source of the noise… before it literally smacked him in the face, shoving him backwards as the source in question flew into the air.
“…owwww.” nirei groans, his body sprawled across the grass. He takes a moment to recollect himself before his attention is redirected back to the figure in the sky.
