capricorns aren't very good at solving problems. their strategy is utilizing their most developed skill and unfortunately it's usually endurance. so they're like, if the investment is worth it, i can simply endure the negative effects it has on me and win in the end.

that may be a working business approach sometimes but when it's applied to personal relationships the shit hits the fan. caps even get aggravated that the other person might not share the sentiment of endurance and try to actually solve the issue.

we've heard about the five love languages, but for capricorns I've noticed frequently that endurance is a love language. if you care about me, deal with it patiently and in silence.

this can create a pretty harmful environment that's hard to abandon. and the longer it goes on, the harder it gets to manage.

that's the capricorn's self fulfilling prophecy: they end up closing themselves more and more to love because each time they give in to it, they end up in progressively worsening scenarios that drain them fully.

the cure is always the same - looking inward to identify negative patterns and trying to deliberately do things differently this time.
