I was reading @kotabear--24's soulmate au, where Jeremy is tutored in French as a child and I found the scene where he was actually confronted by two very different accents really funny, good luck buddy
When Neil arrives, he takes one look at Jean's face and his expression drops the false amicable facade it had been wearing. "I thought this was the team of pacifists," he says in French that sounds different from what Jeremy's learned. "Wanna tell me what happened to you?" Jeremy opens the door wider, to invite him in, but Neil steps back, giving Jeremy a critical look. It feels like a warning, and Jeremy gets the feeling Neil thinks he might be responsible for Jean's injuries. Before he can defend himself, Jean speaks.
"You could have come at a better time," Jean answers grimly, also speaking differently than both Jeremy or Neil, but clearly they can both understand him, because Neil shrugs.
I'm not sure if the author intended to give Neil a quebecois accent since he could have gotten any sort of accent while he was in france, but dammit I love the quebecois accent and we know Neil kissed a french canadian girl so I'm saying he spent time in quebec and picked one up. Or, more likely, he's very capable of code-switching between accents and just chooses the quebecois one to rile Jean up. Either way you can't take this from me.
Someone sent us some mysterious documents. Not sure how they got our email, but they included this video with an ominous message at the end⦠See you March 31st š¤«

I want a fanfiction where Kandrew got married and are strugguling, practically on the verge of divorce. Betsy reccomnds them to do Couples therapy with another therapist. The therapist is Neil Josten.
MattDan def the types to go around telling ppl that Neil is their biological son and when they laugh and say āOkay right but he isnāt reallyā MattDan whip out an ultrasound pic with Neil photoshopped in and say āexplain this then??ā
I need someone to tell Wymack that after Baltimore, all the Foxes gathered around and slept together. I need someone to tell him that those kids he decided to give a second chance to, made a nest out of Matt and Neil's room and slept on the floor because they didn't want to leave one of their one alone. I need someone to tell him he did good, that he created a family, that from that point on they are going to be fine because they'll always be there for eachother.
Andrew gets asked if there is anyone watching him who he has to impress, its a match against Neil's team and maybe Neil has been mentioned in the interview already, whatever the case he says "Our nieces are here. Theyre little shits and very hard to impress."
The interviewer doesnt call him out on it bc they're smart and Andrew himself doesnt noitice he said it. Its only the day after when everyone is like 'our?!? What did he mean by our!?!' that Aaron posts a picture of his daughters one wears a Josten and the other a Minyard jearsy, he captions it with "1/2 nieces thourghy impressed"
During the end of Kevin's last year in Palmetto, Wymack starts putting Neil and Kevin on Court at different times (instead of togheter) so that Neil can get more used to not having Kevin on the court with him
Needless to say, both of them hate It with a burning passion
Kevin whines about how everyone is too slow and they are never where he needs them to be(that Neil always is goes unsaid). Neil whines about how the underclassman can never really understand what he is thinking(that Kevin always understands also goes unsaid)
The first game in which they actually end up not playing togheter at any point is a hell for the Foxes, since they both make It everybody's problem. At the end of It, even though the Foxes won, Kevin and Neil are both in a faul mood, to say the least.
Both are, honest to God, POUTING, with their arms crossed, glaring daggers at Wymack, who is asking every deity in existence for patience
Andrew looks at this scene, sighs heavily, turns to Wymack and says "I told you, they are like co-dependent guinea pigs. We are lucky neither collapsed out of sadness for not being togheter"
After that, they both have at least 5 minutes of guaranteed time to play togheter per game, but the Guinea pig joke becomes a thing among the Foxes
Andrew starts to say he is going to take Kevin and Neil for enrichment time at the enclosure whenever he is taking them both to night practice
neil finds and rescues a small injured bunny. heās confused that people keep telling him the bunny looks exactly like him; he doesnāt see any resemblance at all.
This gif and pic of Chilean goalkeeper Christiane Endler:
And
But its two-time NCAA National Champion Goalie Andrew Joseph Minyard carrying Aaron, Kevin, and Neil following that one time he deflects a goal so hard that it zooms all the way down court and scores.
Don't know if it's just trending for me or if it is trending for everyone but I keep seeing siblings doing the cringey JCPenny photoshoots to give to their parents and I'm just imagining the Foxes coming together to do one of those for Wymack. Half of them are doing it because they think Wymack will get a kick out of it and half are doing it because they think Wymack will hate it.

Riko refuses to let the little one sleep. It results in Nathaniel being unable to keep his eyes open during the afternoons. It puts Jean on edge. The others will see it as a weakness and smell blood in the water, even if they cannot smell Nathaniel.
The back lounge is empty. Jean steers Nathaniel, dead on his feet, to the leather couch. He gives him a light push and Nathaniel barely makes it to the seat before he collapses on the cushion, curling in on himself. He needs to eat, but that's taken away, too, as punishment.
Jean squats on the floor in front of him. He smells like nothing but sweat and bruises and the other alphas. He smells most like Riko. Jean does not want to think about why.
"Only one hour," Jean tells him, holding up a finger. Nathaniel's eyes struggle to focus. "Any longer and the others will notice."
Despite wanting to be anywhere else, Jean lowers himself to the floor and sits with his back to the couch. When Nathaniel's breathing evens out, he puffs little sighs of air against the back of Jean's neck.
How anyone can look at Nathaniel and see anything other than a cub in need of protecting, Jean will never know. They treat him as if he is not even human. Jean's stomach aches with each new bruise that blossoms over Nathaniel's skin.
Anger and hatred boil in his chest. He had been promised a partner. He had been promised an alpha. Jean looks over his shoulder. Nathaniel's brown face is sallow and bruised. His eyes are sunken in. He's almost nothing at all.
Jean twists where he's sat, pulling one knee up against his chest, facing Nathaniel completely. His lashes up close are blood red, splayed across the barely-there freckels on his cheeks.
Jean lifts on finger. He traces it across the bridge of Nathaniel's nose. It's crooked, a little, like it's been broken more than once. He doesn't stir.
Swallowing a stone, Jean settles in, watching over the sleeping cub. Each breath he takes makes him feel bigger and broader, until he can cover Nathaniel with his own scant bravery.
