I was talking with a friend yesterday and he made the mistake to open a conversation about assassin's creed. After a long talk he said

Exactly! It’s practically impossible for me to put myself in any character’s shoes, I generally see myself purely as an observer. Even when I create original characters who might share some of my traits, I’m still the creator, and we occupy completely different places in reality.
