#Insider - Here is a piece of sculpture from artist Jamie McCartney. A cast of the vagina from outside to inside. I was familiar with his work âThe Great Wall Of Vaginaâ - a wall of plaster cast Vaginas. If anything it was fascinating to see the variety of shapes and sizes. What I find more captivating in these fuller casts, is that in life and in art, one rarely sees such a depiction. Iâm sure there have been artworks created representing the sensory exploration of the inside of the Vagina, but not so much the whole form. These sculptures are anatomically correct casts, so some may argue that these are more scientific than artistic, either way, I find it interesting to look at, quite surreal, almost alien looking. One may also arrange a casting with the artist.
These are so strange and beautiful to look at. Â Glass is definitely the right medium for this.
But I canât help but wonder, how on earth do they cast these??
(Thanks @havekat for the submission!)

I never want to hear anyone complain ever again about being told they have to wear a mask, not when shit like this is happening.
Why the fuck is it so hard to use the word âwomanâ specifically at a time like this? smh what a slap in the face.

You knever know how ignorant the media is until they fuck up something you know about
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gell-Mann_amnesia_effect
Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murrayâs case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backwardâreversing cause and effect. I call these the âwet streets cause rainâ stories. Paperâs full of them. In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.

Hawaiiâs law banning the sale of over-the-counter sunscreens containing oxybenzone and octinoxate in order to protect Hawaiiâs marine environment goes into effect on Friday, New Yearâs Day.
In 2018, Hawaiâi became the first state to pass a law banning the sale of sunscreens that contain chemicals known to be toxic to coral reefs. The ban went into effect at the beginning of 2021.
Since then, Palau, the Virgin Islands, and Key West in Florida have created their own bans on sunscreen that is not reef safe. The ban also caused several sunscreen manufacturers to re-evaluate their formulas to make them reef safe and alerted customers to the impacts sunscreen can have on coral reefs.
Now, officials in Hawaiâi are working on adding additional reef-harming chemicals to the list of those banned for sale in the state. If they are successful, the updates to the ban will take effect in 2023.Â
âIt has been a super example of grassroots community and committed state leaders uniting to make something happen, and that started right here in HawaiiâŚThe word spread around the world.â -Lisa Bishop
Absolute green washing bullshit. There is literally no empirical evidence indicating that the sunscreen in the ocean from humans has ever harmed reefs.
They are fixing a problem that doesn't exist so people won't look for the actual problems causing actual damage to the oceans!!!
