Maybe I could convince you to tell me more about dragon!bucky and his precious Stevie? *slides a stack of money across to you*
Funny you should ask this. I’ve been thinking about dragon!Bucky and his nymph!Steve all morning and now I’m just writing it at work in between trying to keep up the appearance of work. See:
“Oh!” Steve gasps as he’s grabbed from behind, pulled back against a hard, broad chest.
“And why,” says a low, dangerous voice in his ear, “would a nymph be wanderin’ around a dragon’s lair?”
His captor radiates heat; a delicious, bone-melting warmth that seeps into Steve’s skin and leaves him feeling loose, languid. He can’t help the way he rubs back against the body holding his, craving more of it. Nymphs, after all, aren’t known for their impulse control.
There’s a hiss and then the warm body is gone, leaving Steve whining and cold.
They meet because Steve is just a curious little nymph who’s never seen a dragon before and once he hears about where the dragon’s lair is, he can’t really stop himself.
Bucky is amused by his curiosity and indulges him when Steve keeps coming back again and again, despite multiple warnings that dragons are dangerous. (Most of said warnings from Bucky himself.)
At one point, Steve says, “you aren’t a very good dragon. Dragons are supposed to have treasure.”
And Bucky tells him, “never found a treasure worth keeping,” while giving Steve a heated look that says this may have very recently changed.
Meanwhile, Bucky spends most of his time making his lair comfortable for his very picky nymph which is probably some stealth dragon courting ritual that Bucky is definitely not telling Steve about.
During one visit, Steve whines, “there’s no water,” because what’s a water nymph to do when his favorite place in the world doesn’t have the necessary amenities?Â
The next time he visits, there is magically a small lake at the very back of the cave, deep in the mountain.
He asks Bucky one day why he doesn’t have a bed and Bucky shrugs. “Dragons don’t need beds.”
“Sam has a bed,” Steve says. “It’s big and comfortable and the sheets feel nice.”
Bucky gets the biggest, most comfortable bed and the softest blankets he can find. When Steve sees it, he frowns and says, “I thought dragons didn’t need beds.”
