We want an evil ex come to tempt Lal, Bas and Numnim involved in some high jinx Matcha-related shenanigans, Tangkwa somewhere mumbling "Huh?" "Huh?" Modern Rhaenyra doesn’t have a job.
She’s a full-time trust fund spender. An unemployed heiress. The closest she had to a job is her seats on various arts/culture and wildlife organizations.
I’d like to think that Aemma’s alive and well in modern AUs, which means she and Rhaenyra have probably been going to auctions together since Rhaenyra was a kid.
That’s how Rhaenyra met the auctioneer’s daughter, Alicent.
(Otto joked about letting Rhaenyra bid on Alicent’s hand in marriage once, and Rhaenyra pulled out her checkbook and a pen. Alicent was not amused.)
(Rhaenyra eventually had to get a real job for a few years just to prove to Alicent that she’s perfectly responsible and capable of longterm commitment. Granted, the job in question was given to her by her uncle, and Rhaenyra quit as soon as Alicent gave her the okay.)
