here’s a (long, i know) lyric comic that i’ve been working on for 4 months! a little idea about berdly surviving snowgrave but the fountain already being sealed. more detailed synopsis under the readmore 

i also realised upon drafting and testing this that tumblr shuts off youtube videos if u scroll too far down (in this case, 4 panels >:[) so click the pop out button (blue, with an arrow) that appears on the video and it should let u continue no problem. well, on desktop at least, haven’t tested mobile X]

Context: a snowgrave fix it of sorts. When the fountain is sealed, its exposed to the light world, the heat and light cancelling out the dark. This causes the dark world to rapidly deteriorate (ready to fade into nothingness), but ALSO, the heat melts all the frozen cyber city folk (and Berdly).

They didn't get transferred to castle town for two reasons

1. They refused to come after being defeated violently, not knowing their fate would be to fade away in this world and be “lost” 

2. The frozen ones were dead. They couldn't transfer because they were dead, it would be like trying to send a corrupted file somewhere. You just get an error.

But they’re alive again now, unfrozen. They are now against the clock to find a way out before they fade away too.

Opening the dark fountain again gives the world some stability (the cyber world itself, not the world as a whole). It buys them time, and FORCES the heroes to come back and do things properly if they don't want the roaring to occur. The assumption is that Noelle will NOT want to come along, so the player cant manipulate her (via Kris) into hurting people. And now that the cyber city residents know what will happen if they don't agree to come to castle town, so even previously “lost” residents are willing to come along once the fountain is resealed. And when it is resealed, Berdly will wake up in hospital. Injured and needing treatment, but alive.
