81 has never had to work to build anything in F1, unlike Carlos. He bailed on the team that invested in him and pranced into a car/team that others had worked on to make poised to win for years, and now acts entitled to those wins and the spoils of others' hard work. He's a lazy opportunist who doesn't have the spine or skill to even attempt to build anything or work through any type of adversity. The moment things become marginally difficult, it's immediately time to look for somewhere else to go and start throwing blame at anyone and everything except the guy in the mirror. If Zak Brown didn't have a brunette twink fetish, 81 would be in an Alpine with his lack of skill on display for the world to see instead of it being hidden behind a fast car, strategies taken from a WDC, and a currently top team. Unfortunately for him, the car isn't as fast as before and the WDC is sick of him riding his coattails. If anyone is a waste of a grid spot, it isn't Carlos.

I don't know if people are just understandably upset or being intentionally daft as they tend to be when it comes to Carlos.

Automatic blue flag system not working, piastri confirmed to be in his mirror blindspot, not told by the team where piastri is and was in a battle with another driver.

No it literally is an "excuse", multiple factors if you will. HE DOES NOT KNOW WHERE THE CAR BEHIND IS.

Yes, there were blue flags around the track for Carlos. But they were having issues with those all race, drivers getting them when they shouldn't and not getting them when they should. Also the driver tracker was apparently fucked, so it was hard to know where a car actually was to warn the drivers.

Carlos was told Piastri would lap him, but that was right in his fight with Fernando and he had no information just how close Piastri already was.

And when he said 'he couldn't/didn’t see him' that he 'had no idea he was there' he meant *there* as in his blind spot, trying to overtake him in a stupid spot and a situation that is just better to wait out.

I don’t get why everyone is so shocked a car being lapped gets in the way. It happens a lot. The drivers fight for every spot, if they wouldn't, what are they even doing there? And if you lap cars that are fighting, you have to do it smart and not be impatient and try and force your way past.

When Lando won Singapore, he could have extended the gap he had to p2 much more if he had gotten past some cars faster. But they were in an intense fight, so he thought it would be smarter to wait it out a few corners or whatever and not risk a crash by forcing it. Worked out pretty well.
