“Honestly, thank ya so much for comin’ sugar- cravin’s are settin’ in an’ I’m already impulse cookin’. There’s gotta be at least three thin’s cookin’ in the kitchen already, an’ I’m makin’ three more that I’m cravin’. So- seriously- come in, eat, take some of this food off’a my hands, because there ain’t no way I’m eatin’ it by myself.”
“Wh-What are you m-m-making?”
‘ i KNOW what you’re thinking - yes, there are marker stains all over my jeans, and no, i don’t mind. these are my comfy jeans, i’m not going to stop wearing them just because magic markers aren’t as washable as they claim. ’
“Uhm... Th-That’s g-g-great. What-Whatever you w-w-want.”

Brooke: So I may or may not be lost...
Brooke: HELP?
Carlin: Wish I could help but I don't know my way around this place very well either.
“I’m pretty damn proud of myself. I woke up before noon and in my own bed for a change. Plus I had no hangover too. Either I’m still drunk of this is some sort of miracle.”
“G-Good for y-y-you?”
“Carbs don’t count when you’re on vacation right?”
“I-I don’t th-think th-that’s how that w-w-w-works.”
“Oh, you’d be surprised how many people would call me that. It’s kind of impressive,” she said, trying her hardest to mask her sad tone. “So.. you live here?”
"I-I don't mean t-t-to s-s-sound like I kn-know you or a-anything but you d-don't seem l-l-like a bad p-person." One thing Carlin was good at was reading people. Though this girl was good at hiding her expression, for a split second, she thought she saw that she cared more about what people called her than she let on. "Y-Yeah, moved here n-not too l-l-long ago."
“Carlin,” she repeated, nodding as she decided that the name suited the girl. “That’s a pretty name. I’m Devin. But you can call me Dev.. or whatever you want, really. I respond to anything - you could call an ‘oi, bitch’ across the room and I’d respond.”
“Thanks.” She smiled at the girl. Carlin chuckled at the girl’s last comment. “I-I’m sure n-n-no one would c-call you th-that. But I l-l-like your name t-t-t-too.”
“Lucky for you, you’re strange in an endearing way. Come and sit,” she said, patting the floor next to her and smiling sweetly. “What’s ya name?”
Carlin blushed slightly at the compliment. She didn’t get them often. “Th-Th-Thanks.” She sat down beside the girl and looked over beside her. “Carlin. W-What’s y-y-yours?”
“That’s how I feel, but a lot of people disagree.”
“W-Well that’s ok-kay. D-Do what-whatever makes you h-h-happy.”
Devin eyed the other cautiously, “you okay? You’re being weird.”
“Y-Y-Yeah, I’m okay. A l-l-lot of p-people find me st-strange...”
“I’m glad you don’t think so. Most people tend to.”
“N-No, not at all. B-B-Being alone is n-nice. Comfortable I g-g-guess.”
“Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to sound like a dick or anything.”
“Oh, n-n-no, it’s ok-kay.”
Bryce took a long drag of the blunt held precariously between two of his fingers, holding the smoke in his lungs for a moment before he released it in a long sigh. “I don’t know,” he muttered, laughing. “I don’t think I can really feel anything right now, man.”
“O-Oh.” Was all she could think to say at the time. It was too dark to inspect so there wasn’t much she could do.
“I’m just the weird girl that likes to sit in the dark, alone.”
“Th-That’s not weird. I d-d-do that all the t-t-time.”
“It’s fine, honest. I’m not the suing type so… no harm is coming my way. Where were you headed tho? You have to be in a hurry to just run a person over, huh?”
“I wasn’t g-going anywhere spe-specific. I-It’s just d-d-dark and I wasn’t p-p-paying attention.”
Frankie had been laying on a towel, looking up at the stars, when someone tripped over her. “Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!” she asked sitting up quickly.
“Y-Yeah, I’m ok-kay. Just a little.... d-d-dirty.” She let out a light laugh. “Are y-you okay?”
