omg the Arch User Repository (collection of user-maintained packages/programs for arch linux) had a huge malware attack a few weeks ago, so lots of people have been making tools for scanning malware in peoples systems and the AUR itself, and a few of those malware scanning tools were in fact malware which is kinda genius

OK so, I want to find an OS for my pc that can handle the games I play (think baldurs gate, cyberpunk 2077)

But also has an easy way of installing clip studio version 3.0, as thats the license I have, and the one I use the most brushes of.

With security that works well for someone who doesnt want chat control to check every single thing I do.

Pc specs are pretty good! Certain parts are 4 years old at most. Just have to put a lot of art on a USB stick so its safe to do a full wipe on it without issues.

What would y'all recommend, even if its not 100% a perfect fit?

Art is my biggest passion so that + safety/ security goes first ofc!

so this guy right he makes ancient egyptian themed furry costumes. he makes all kinds but mostly he specializes in Horus heads. it's his passion really. he loves to make the beautiful falcon head of the Sun God. anyway so he's at a con one day and he sees this whole bunch of people in middle kingdom dress with these indistinguishable animal heads. he's like. oh man these folks could really use a new source, i can hardly tell what animal those are! so he goes over and he says "hey guys! i see you are into ancient egyptian mythological themed furry costumes--if any of you are interested in being the radiant Son of Ra, I am the BEST in the business!"

and the group of people look at each other, then at him. awkward. finally one of them says: "uh. no thanks. we're all Set."

I'm gonna be honest. KDE Plasma has ruined WMs and desktop environments for me. This shit is so customisable that is unrecognisable if you installed widgets to mimic a typical Waybar/DWM theme until you hit fastfetch, like look at this.

I tried Niri and Mango, but I stuck with KDE because the scaling below 100 worked the best for my 1366x768p monitor where Niri just makes some programs like Discord, Krita and Reaper look TOO big, and the cursor scaling barely works on Mango, like look at this.

@kde-plasma-official shoutout to KDE for making me turn your desktop environment into DWM.

@niri-unofficial help me how to deal with this curse because I couldn't afford a new monitor.

It's a shame Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is one of those parodies whose author clearly feels the source material is beneath them and thus doesn't put much thought into how they're sending it up because a Regency zombie apocalypse that properly Examines the Implications sounds like a really fun time.

I still can't wrap my head about the fact the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies exists. I mean... Why the p&p? Why wouldn't they just create their own universe? I bet the 19th century setting with zombies looked pretty interesting without jumping on the withering head of the original.
