rolling her eyes when he stepped back, cosima mentally groaned, “god, don’t act so surprised. demons didn’t die out, we just don’t show ourselves as often. people get scared.” she shrugged her shoulders, “i’m not strange, or crazy, or any other form of that word you can think of.” eventually she calmed herself down, and looked at the keys again, “yep i am. i don’t appreciate bastard hunters stealing from me.” cosima and hunters never got along, with all the exorcisms happening around her, she didn’t show off her black eyes to everyone. “help me out? really? and what would you help me out with?” she near scoffed at the though.
By now, the shock of seeing a demon had worn off and William went back to being himself. It honestly made a lot of sense for demons to hide themselves more these days. “Oh I’m not sure about that. Whether you’re a demon or not, you seem plenty crazy to me. Less crazy but crazy still. Then again, everyone in this town is a little bit crazy. You’d have to be to kick it here.” He might have been more on guard now but he wasn’t about to stop his mouth. It was too much fun to piss people off. “I don’t know if I would track someone down for three years just for some money. I mean, with what we can do , you can just as easily make more.” He followed that up with a shrug. “I dunno. Maybe give you a massage, you seem really high strung. Or I can offer you a drink. I’m sure that would help a bit.”
