-Azriel turns up in day court
-With the anger and passion fuelling the argument, they feel the thread of the bond twining them together
-Azriel pleads with Y/N to listen to The Mother and explore their bond
-“now you look upon me without desire for another and you realise i am your intended?” Y/N To Azriel
-Azriel reveals that he only called for Elain as he was jealous of Y/N’s feelings for Cassian
-Y/N is confused, she had feelings for Cas when she first joined the IC but since moved on once she got to know Azriel
-She tells this to Azriel
-He can’t believe what he has done
-Begs for Y/N to give him a chance to repair their relationship, to accept the bond
-“What bond, shadowsinger?”
-“Please, don’t call me that.”
-Lucien and Y/N attempt a 2nd date, but Y/N can’t stop thinking about Azriel
-She realises that, though he has hurt her, she still loves him
-But she refuses to go back to him because he HAS hurt her
-Lucien notices her troubles
-Distracts Y/N from her thoughts by speaking of Helion
-Though he suspects Helion is his father, he does not wish to pursue his investigation further (i don’t want to assume in case sjm is like lol nah was just playing yall)
-Lucien’s POV, he can’t help but compare Y/N to Elain
-Y/N and Lucien decide they want to be intimate with each other
-They are keeping their thoughts on Elain/Azriel to themselves which makes everything feel bad/icky
-They cannot decide whose room to be intimate in as they don’t feel ready for that exposure to each other
-They make out on the couch for a while
-“I.. I promised I would never compare you to Elain… I can’t do that. I’m so sorry”
-Y/N somewhat understands
-They both agree that they are still too wrapped up in their past to move on just yet
-Allude that they end up together eventually, but now is just not the time for them.
