But, like, why don't I get replies back?

Today was a roller coaster. Like, seriously the highest highs and the lowest lows. It was bookended by death. A lot of people I know lost people today. It is hard to reconcile.

Tomorrow I will wake up early on a Saturday and go to the airport. There, I will wear my badge and I will meet a friend and a supporter who has, in all likelihood, lost a brother. Her brother is one of the Marines lost at sea in Hawaii with very little hope of being found alive. These past few months, she has taken time away from her life to support military families at our events. Now it is time we return the favor. I will be there for her and I will make sure my entire work family is there for her to... through the airports, through her travels, through the funeral, through the mourning.

I don’t think I will sleep tonight. This day has given me motion sickness.

Dear all men’s gift guides,

You do me no good. G is the actual hardest person in the world to shop for. Allow me to tell you why.

He doesn’t drink, so your whiskey stones and bourbon and scotch glasses do nothing for me.

He doesn’t golf. Or play video games. We also can’t BBQ on our condo balcony.

He wears the same variation of shoes everyday. Please don’t suggest I buy him Chucks.

He’s a bit of a watch snob. I can’t afford to buy him a new Omega or Cartier watch.

We aren’t allowed to have a drone due to our apartment’s proximity to the nation’s capital. Stupid terrorism has taken my one good idea off the table. Thanks, Obama.

He already owns every Stars Wars related item he might want.. and the thought of having more Star Wars related crap in our home is terrifying.

He is a giant, so any adorable clothing is usually off the table (and crop-top looking.)

He buys everything he wants or needs on Kickstarter.

So, internet, what do I get him?

My wonderful husband is taking my car (which has no gas) to get an inspection and an oil change today, which is great because if he hadn’t, I wouldn’t be able to get on to base tomorrow for work.

He is awesome.

Second, why does a defense contractor need an Eyelash Extension artist?? Is there a need for eyelash extensions at the largest producer of guided missiles that I don’t know about?
