Lesbian deaths in mainstream TV
Spoilers for TWD, THE 100, VAMPIRE DIARIES but this NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. Yeah, okay Lexas death annoyed me a lot. So much. couple weeks later another lesbian got killed cheaply on the walking dead. I got mad. (actually second lesbian girlfriend of Tara's that got shot 'accidentally' or while they weren't expecting it) Now, now a show I haven't watched, vampire diaries kills TWO MORE LGBT FEMALE CHARACTERS? Yeah I'm beyond mad. This dead lesbian trope is not surprising anymore. It's frustrating and expected. This is four (4) dead lgbt characters killed while trying to show love in some way or another within a month of so. It has to be a joke right? It's 2016. Come. The. Fuck. On. Well done on everyone who has tried to hold the writers accountable. This trope should be the one dead, not the rare lesbians on TV that NEED the representation.
