Such a cute fox mount, curled up sleepily on a chair, at the hunting museum in Riihimäki
A male sika deer captured by nature photographer yama_sato3 on X/twitter in the mountains of Hokkaido. During mating season, the increase in strength caused by rut can lead to rare cases of a rival’s head being torn off at the neck after locking antlers to fight for dominance. If the victor can survive with the extra burden until he sheds his antlers, he’ll be able to continue his life, free of this brutally conjoined emblem of death’s inevitability that stares into his eyes.

I had a small batch of skulls turn out baby pink after my hydrogen peroxide ran out before they were fully whitened. Most aren't that noticeably pink, but when you put them right next to white skulls they're suddenly VERY pink. When my new hydrogen peroxide comes in they'll all get another bubble bath. I secretly kinda like this craft grade fox cub skull like this though, so I might just sell this one like it is

‘Bodily Study’ (2020) Artist: Matthew Angelo Harrison
Harrison’s “Bodily Studies” take the form of chairs or “thrones,” as the Detroit based artist calls them, made of resin and real zebra bone. The combination of materials – organic animal and petroleum-based acrylic – is oxymoronic, evoking both preservation and extinction. The carefully sliced skulls create beautiful patterns and phantom faces, a soul-stirring life after death. Representing the African savannah as well as the idiosyncrasies of evolutionary camouflage, the zebra’s black and white coat is replaced by a harmony of tinted resins.
