I have a confession to make because I don’t want to hold it in on this social media outlet anymore.

I’m transgender. I’ve been a FtM trans person for a very long time, since I was 16 years old. I’ve held it in here on Tumblr because every post that dares to criticize transphobic ideals is dogpiled on. And yes, I’m including TERFs.

I’m suffered under the cruel hands of transphobia. I was sexually assaulted, I’ve been jumped, I’ve been given rape and death threats, I’ve been sexually harassed by both women and men - but I’m not going to censor myself anymore.

Transphobes will use the same soft arguments that can be easily debunked - “it’s basic biology”, they’re “concerned” for women and children, “transgenderism is misogyny”, etc. It’s the same softy bullshit white supremacists will use, they’re “Concerned” for the white people, racial diversity is racism against white people, (look up what Scientific Racism is) and whatever.

I’m tired of trying to prove why my, and millions of other people, identity is valid and should be seen as such. I don’t need your high school leveled knowledge on “Biology” to tell my doctors how to do their jobs.

You reblog and reply to this post all you want, calling me delusional and everything else. And sure, there are trans people who have internalized transphobia and might hold the same values as you do, and you can use them as a way to excuse your bigotry towards me. However, it’s all for nothing because us transgender people aren’t going anywhere. It’s 2021 and progress is happening whether you like it or not. People in the early 20th century were sharing toxic ideas and excuses of why black people should remain as second class citizens and there were “social” and “biological” reasons for it, but in 2009 the United States elected the first black President. Right now, we have a black woman as Vice President. Progress happens, and we are not going to be erased.
