Please Just Hold Me || Eve & Carson
Eve was curled up in a tight little ball as she sat next to her bed. Her head buried in her knees, hair fanning around her keeping her covered. If you listened quietly you could hear her sobs. She shook as she tried to keep herself quiet. To keep herself small and together. But she felt like she was falling apart. She heard the door move and assumed it was her cat letting out a whimper wanting Kovu to come cuddle up to her.
Carson heard sobbing coming from Eve's room. Unable to turn away from the sorrowful sound, she knocks softly and says to the door: "Eve? It's me...I'm coming in..." After what the girl had done for her only a week prior, Carson couldn't leave her alone while she was so upset. "Eve?" She asks again as the door squeaks open. She sighs softly and then kneels by Eveleen's side. "Hey, shh..hey. It's me...I'm....I'm here..." she attempts to soothe the girl. Carson wasn't one who was particularly good at it, but she tried her best. "What can I do, Ev? What can I do to help you? To make the hurt go away?" Of course she wasn't going to ask the broken brunette if she was okay. She obviously wasn't. Carson's over-protectiveness immediately kicked in; internally, she fought the rage that cursed through her veins at the thought of whoever made a girl as kind as Eveleen cry.
