Just in time for the COP21 Climate Conference, an organization called Brandalism has hijacked over 600 outdoor ad spaces in the city, replacing them with climate change-related art … and what, at first glance, look like ordinary ads for brands like Total, Air France, Dow Chemicals, GDF Suez and Volkswagen. The difference is, these ads reveal unpleasant truths.
ThinkingPhones created this history of human communication. More driven by technology than ever before, we have catapulted through time and been altered by the very devices we use to speak, share and create.
Launched today, on Universal Children's Day, it takes expectant parents from around the world, interviews them about their worries for their unborn child's future, and then shows them a film about how forthcoming generations might be better off then we are now -- with emotional results.
The short film is just the starting point of the effort. The Project Sunlight website will be a hub for stories and tips about sustainable development, some of it centered around some of Unilever's products (such as Flora margerine and Lifebuoy soap) as well as its corporate work towards sustainability projects. It provides school meals through the World Food Programme; supports Save the Children to provide clean water; and UNICEF to improve hygiene.
