I’m cursed with the knowledge that the hermit was very deeply adamant about not having kids. How he doesn’t want to have the responsibility for a child that he feels like he will pass down his trauma onto, therefore he wasn’t so pleased with the idea of becoming a father. Why he had his divorce because of (what I assume) many things but mainly because he just was so RELIEVED that his wife had a miscarriage. He was so desperate to not have kids because he didn’t want to repeat his cycle. He didn’t want to harm a child with his trauma.

But he also accepts the responsibility of taking care of the neighbor’s daughter. He accepts that if something happened to his friend that he would take care of his child for him. Although it’s mostly the player’s choice if they want to be a decent person or not, he still CAN say yes. He still CAN let her in. And he also at least TRIES to bring her some comfort. He didn’t have to, but he calls the daughter’s friend for her, and after realizing those disgusting parents killed their own kid he’s left stunned. HE can understand that is something despicable.

He may have not wanted kids but granted the choice of bringing one safety, he will. He’s humane. He doesn’t want them but he still feels that empathy for them. Idk if this is just me talking but I think this just shows he isn’t completely heartless. He can be a dick but he still has that heart inside him. Even if he never wanted kids, he’ll still take care of the neighbor’s daughter, he made a promise.

YIPEPEPEPEPEPE NO IM NOT A HUMAN

it's been a while, and admittedly I had no motivation to continue my doodles, but I finally did it!

Now, my favorite canonical visitor...Babushka

Gonna be honest, her body was kinda hard to get used to. I love it but her LEGS, UGH, it’s why I made her skirt longer…😮‍💨

My second attempt was perfect, I REALLY liked her squished face lol x] (AND her lazy eye, blind eye? both, both is good)

Now here’s where I ramble!

Gosh….she’s complicated.

I adore her character and her story, I adore that she sort of, in a way, is a mirror to the hermit in the case that she was left alone to her own devices. She tried doing good by sitting at her bench and watching others walk by in life—imagining what they must experience. Distracting her. But…did she really live after that? I may be thinking too into it, but I can honestly see her being ultimately sad with her outcome. Yeah, she’s better off without piece of shit scum bossing her around (her husband), but she felt lonely. No one deserves to feel that way..

But there’s also this thing I see where people say she’s lying about her background, trying to garner sympathy in a way. I can see why they say that, but it breaks my heart. I don’t think she’s trying to manipulate (she’s not like big mama, HELL no). Though I like how that’s also a thing with her. She doesn’t like the “bad eggs” or liars in a sense. Idk what to really make of this whole rant really, I’m just talking…but she’s just so interesting. I honestly hoped there would be more people talking about her.

I know I also shouldn’t be saying this for the safety for my other residents either, but, I love her. I keep her for a time but take the responsibility to shoot her near the end (she HAS gotten rid of characters I don’t like though..👀)

Also also, this last doodle is somewhat of what I imagine what she looked like before her “visitor transformation”. One of my other doodle notes say I believe she got the “super” visitor treatment, if you know what I mean (the super visitor’s skin sags….just like hers in her face. She most likely got skinned…)..Poor thing. She must have been so scared..

Hc that BLU spy feeds red Engineers ego just so he could get Engie to do stuff for him

At first it was little things, like maybe fixing his invis watch or his sentry sapper (which took a LOT of convincing) until he started coming up with things he needed for the BLU team. And it always worked.

Not because engineer is dumb or anything, no. He just has the FATTEST fucking ego. 💀 He folds under 0 pressure when someone starts telling him just how intelligent he is.

Demoman is back and I would like to say AntonBlast is an underrated GEM. The game is fun, graphics and animation are FANTASTIC, and I just ADORE the bosses and levels they’re so creative, especially with the update that came out in December—I’m trying to get all the achievements!

And of course I just love Anton in general, I never posted him here on tumblr since I figured not many would care, but I wanna shine some light on his game—Anton’s a cool silly dude, he’s got a temper but for the most part I’d say he’d such a sweet character. As in, as long as you look past at how angry he is throughout the game lol. They stole his alcohol!

Oh, and he also fights SATAN.

I think about the Taxi Driver sometimes, I don’t think people talk about him much—he’s so underrated dude 💔

I think especially after the incident with his dad, he’s more prone to that anxiety hitting him—even when he doesn’t want or need it to. It just happens. Or when turning into certain streets? Oh god no, he feels nauseous even..

Once again, protag’s like a middle man. He doesn’t seem that harsh towards the surgeon unless you CHOOSE to be that way. But in my heart, I swear he’s understanding towards him

I think ex FEMA agent knew a good chunk of the employees that worked at fema, he refers to some of them as buddies in his dialogue if I remember correctly. So I think it’d make sense for him to remember the surgeon (who worked there after the hospitals shut down, put him out of work, and he thought maybe if he worked at FEMA he could help more people).

(The surgeon of course rebelled a bit after realizing these “visitor signs” weren’t really coherent? And where did they even get them from? They left the doctors completely in the dark, so because of that the surgeon helped as many people as he could escape the quarantine because REALISTICALLY, if you were a doctor and the agency you were working for wasn’t telling you ANYTHING…I think it’s safe to say there were HIDING something from you. And the surgeon knew those people were being killed, I know because he tells us on the last day of his conversation that one certain fema agent stopped him outside, told him to turn around to look at him, and pointed his gun at the surgeon’s legs. The surgeon stood there very SCARED and the fema agent told him to stick his tongue out, he did, and the agent laughed because that wasn’t a way of checking for visitor signs—calling him an idiot. NO WONDER WHY HE QUIT THAT GUY THREATENED HIM FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN CRUELTY. HE THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA DIE.)

In this case, the surgeon doesn’t really know the guy worked for fema, he never got to see their faces. Only that he makes him super uncomfortable…the ex fema agent understands that, he feels it, so he REALLY tries not to blow his cover around him in hope the doctor won’t snitch.

I’m going to rant about this guy like how I did on Reddit. I HATE HIM with joy.

The Ex FEMA agent….

From here I’m going to go IN ON HIM

I love the Ex FEMA Agent in a sense that I hate him with every fiber of my body. Scum under my shoe covered in dirt and he suckles the very tip of it.

I love how they write him, he’s just so disgustingly unaccountable of his own actions and so defensive of what he worked for and how he is now. I love to hate on how the fact he thinks he’s still a good person, he still thinks he deserves respect from protag because he was “helping people” when he was actively contributing and enabling an agency that was doing everything but that. He claims he’s not a murderer, but what about how he snaps at us when we tell him we’re glad the widowed woman (another character in this game who’s story is incredibly tragic) reunited with her husband? What does he say?

I think he deserves none of my sympathy. Why would I be giving him any of my humanity when he so clearly lost his the second he shot the widowed woman’s husband? How he’s so bitter with her because she cost him his job simply because she wanted them to show decency to her by giving her, her own SPOUSE’S body to bury. And he calls her a bitch? Because he was incompetent by informing her or even calling her that he SUSPECTED her husband may have been a visitor to warn her beforehand (this also goes for the agency, WTF are they doing?).

To top it all off, is how depending on what we tell him, he storms off. He’s so far up his own ass after we call him a bastard he probably risks his own life going back outside with no where else to stay! What a fucking idiot!

He deserves NOT AN OUNCE of my pity. In my opinion. I choose to love him in a way I want to put him in a blender, painfully.

Oh, and also I really like the colors I picked and probably would love to see more of him and the stoner guy interacting with each other, I think it’s somewhat nice.

I really don’t know how to word it.

But you can sell me on a character that is THE problem of the story, THEY caused a problem or enabled something or just in general caused something to happen but DON’T want to take accountability. They think they’re the victim, the oppressed, they think they aren’t in the wrong and that they are the good one. They are a good person.

But they aren’t. They are selfish, and irresponsible, and so so so hypocritical. I LOVE characters who refuse to see themselves as the bad guy when they so clearly are—or at least part of the problem. They don’t want that responsibility put upon them because they don’t want to think about how morally wrong they are—they only wanna see themselves doing the “right thing” BUT THEY’RE NOT. THEY ARE NOT A GOOD PERSON, and yet they plead so hard to be seen as one. They convince themselves they are. And they just AREN’T.
