Soooooo I made a fanfic but like this is my very first fic ever, idk I just had this fic like stuck in my head for days so I wanted to post it. If anyone has any tips pls feel free to share them 😔🙏 and compliments 😭🤞 also advice for how to do a good ending cause I suck at those lmao
Today was Valentines Day, and luckily for the ninja, there was no big bad guy to face.
Sora had felt the monastery practically empty. Zane and Pixal were working on new vehicles down in the hangerbay. Usually Sora would join them, but it felt wrong to intrude on their dancing like process. Nya and Jay were making up for all the lost time.
After Jay recovered his memory they’ve been out and about doing anything that can together, and today was no different. Wyldfyre, who was accompanied by Kai, went to the City of Temples to spend the day with Roby. Cole went to the Land of Lost things to be with Geo and the finders.
So in the end it was just Sora, Arin, Frak and Lloyd without someone to spend Valentines with. Atleast that’s what she had thought.
Sora walks towards the kitchen sniffing the air smelling delicious pies. When she enters she sees Arin and Frak both taking out their pies from the oven.
“Yum, fresh pies. Are these meant for Valentines?” Sora asks, seeing the multiple pies layed out on the counters.
“Yup, we thought it would be nice to give the couples a sweet treat for this special day” Frak explained, putting his pie with the rest.
“We made enough for them, but we’ve sadly ran out of supplies for the rest of us and Ryu” Arin said scratching the back of his neck with his free hand.Sora chuckled slightly thinking about how Ryu always needs his own batch.
Just as Frak was going to say something, Lloyd walks into the kitchen. He in clothing that isn’t his green gi. Instead he has on flowing jeans and a nice dress shirt. “Oh wow! That’s a lot of pies.”
“Yup! We thought it would be a nice gift for Valentine’s Day.” Arin explained.
“That is nice.” Lloyd said slightly nodding his head. Putting his hands on his hips he says, “Well I just wanted to let you guys know that I’m going out, so I’ll see you guys later.”
“Oh! Where are you going?” Frak questioned.
“Down to the crossroads to-“ Lloyd started to say before being interrupted by Frak.
“Oh that’s perfect, we need to get more baking supplies! We can tag along.”
“Yea! Then maybe we can find something for the four of us to do together, since we’re the only ones without someone to spend the day with” Sora exclaimed excitedly, it was getting kind of boring in the monastery. “Come on let’s go get Ryu too.”
Surely after that, the three of the new ninja started to leave the pie filled kitchen.
Sora could have sworn she heard Lloyd sigh a bit before he followed the young ninja out to the front door.
When they made it to the crossroads, they realized that going to each individual store was going to take a while. So they decided to split up.
“I’ll get the sugars and cinnamon.” Arin offered. Ryu roared, ‘I’ll go with him.’
“Okay,” Frak nodded, “then I’ll get the berries.”
Sora raised an eyebrow, “Why don’t we just go to one store for all of that?”
“Because we have certain types of ingredients we like, and we are loyal customers, so multiple stores it is!”
“Alright then, let’s do this!” Arin exclaimed, putting a fist onto his palm.
“Guys-“ Right after, they all ran their separate ways, as if a race had just begun.
Throughout that whole conversation, Lloyd still wasn’t able to get a word in. Leaving him there by himself.
“So, what should we do first?” Frak asked.
Sora thought before responding, “Hm. I don’t know yet, we can look around, but maybe we should find Lloyd first.” They had agreed to meet back where they had separated in an hour, but Lloyd never came back.
“Do any of you guys know where he could’ve gone?” Arin said looking around the crossroad, trying to find the blond. Ryu gave a tiny roar in response, ‘nope’.
Then, just as he did earlier, Lloyd appeared out of nowhere. They saw him coming from the corner they were going towards. Though this time he wasn’t alone. Beside him was a guy who was taller then him, maybe a head or so. Though he was smaller then him in muscle mass. He was wearing black jeans, a white shirt and a dark blue colored vest.
The young ninja and dragon all stopped and starred where they were. What they saw was their teacher holding hands with this said man and carrying a huge bouquet of flowers. Now Sora doesnt know much about flowers or plants, but she could tell that the flowers were arranged correctly. They didn’t seem to clash with their different colors or shapes.
It’s kind of beautiful, Sora thought starring at the bouquet.
It’s took a while for Lloyd to notice them, seeming to be solely focused on the man beside him, who was taking about something. But when he did, he stopped in his tracks, shocked expression on his face. “Oh, hi guys..- I was just coming back.”
It was Arin who answered him after a bit of silence, “Well when you weren’t at our meeting spot we decided to go look for you.”
“Oh yea, sorry about that, but I had to pick up Brad from his flower shop.” So that’s his name, Sora thought, that would also explain the flowers.
“Oh.. does he need escorting home..orrr?” Frak said slowly, unsure of what was going on.
Brad smiled at Lloyd before looking back at the ninja, “No I don’t need to be escorted home.” His voice wasn’t deep but it also wasn’t overly high, just a good mix in between.
Lloyd smiled, shaking his head slightly. “No, he doesn’t. It’s just that we have a date, so I had to go get him from his shop.” He started to explain, “I was going back right now to tell you guys that you could go on without me.”
And the group just..stood there, not expecting Lloyd to tell them that he had a date. They don’t even think it was ever mentioned that he had a boyfriend.
“Um…were you gonna tell us that you have a boyfriend!?” Sora asked, clearly not expecting this out of the day.
“Well I was trying to, today actually, but I could never get a full sentence out.” Lloyd replied, a teasing tone in his voice.
Ah..oops. The three ninja awkwardly apologized for that.
“Anyways, Brad these are my students I told you about.” Letting go of Brads hand, he pointed at Frak and went down a line from his left, “This is Frak, Sora, Arin and Ryu.” Lloyd introduced.
“Nice to meet you guys, I’ve heard good things about you all.”
Sora could tell that he was nervous, he was constantly looking back at Lloyd and he looked at them but not in their eyes when he spoke.
“Nice to meet you too!” Arin said, putting his hand out for Brad. He stepped forward taking Arin’s hand in his own, shaking it.
Though Sora kinda wished he didn’t offer him his hand, because it was way too awkward afterwards.
Luckily Ryu saved the moment by walking up to Lloyd and sniffing the flowers. He snickered, showing Ryu the flowers better.
“Aren’t they pretty?” To which Ryu responded with a cheerful roar. “Well, as much as I would love to spend time with you guys, I’ve already made plans for today.” Lloyd said, giving them a small smile.
“Oh yea-,” Sora said, “then we’ll see you back at the monastery later..or tomorrow?”
He gave back a nod, “Most likely tomorrow.”
“Alright then, we’ll leave you guys to your date” Frak said, waving goodbye as he turned around starting to leave, Arin and Sora close behind.
“Yup! And we will make sure to make you guys a pie too!” Arin said, waving behind his shoulder.
Ryu gave a little roar as his goodbye, then trotted to catch up with his friends.
As Sora looked back to see if Ryu had caught up with them, she saw the couple turning around to walk the opposite way. It was weird seeing her teacher with such a soft expression.
Sure, shes seen a similar expression when he’s with his siblings, but this one was different. With this one his eyes were droopy, his face wasn’t tensed up anymore and his smile was so genuine it was kinda sickening. Though she could just be saying that because she’s lonely, but that’s not the point!
Brad either didnt notice Lloyds love-stuck face or he was used to it. Sora could tell he was saying something that was making Lloyd laugh by the was his shoulders moved.
“Y’know, I don’t think I ever thought Lloyd was going to get with someone…” Now Sora doesn’t agree with most of what Frak says, but she agreed with this. “Yea, I expected him to find it hard to find somebody.”
“What, why?” Arin raised an eyebrow confused by what they meant. Why would it be hard for Lloyd to get a boyfriend?
“Uhh because he’s the green ninja?” Frak said it like if it was obvious.
“Soooo people might try to use him or even maybe try to hurt him.”
“Oh..yea, I guess so huh.”
Sora could hear the uneasiness in his voice. Which she understands, but sadly that’s how it was. There are always some one who is like that. She just hopes that Brad isn’t one of those people.
She said her thought out loud. ”Lets just hope that who he’s with now isn’t one of those people.”
“True, but let’s not judge him so quickly,” Arin says, “We’ve only just met him.”
Ryu have a happy roar, ‘He seems good to me’
“I don’t think I’m ever going to get used to talking to a ninja.” Brad said, the tension in his body fading away.
“Pfft- they weren’t even the ninja that are my brothers and sister!” Lloyd said, laughing at him.
“Yea, but their still ninja! Aka ninja that live with those ninjas.”
“That doesn’t mean their going to act the same way as them.” Lloyd went closer grabbing his hand again.
“Yea but even though their younger then me, it’s scary knowing they could beat me up.” Brad whined, throwing his head back and dragging his other hand down is face. “Embarrassing even…”
Lloyd stopped walking and dragged Brad closer. Making sure that they weren’t in anybody’s line of sight, he put his free hand onto the back of Brads neck, pulling his face close to his.
“Trust me, your fine, they aren’t going to go all protective mode like the others did.” Lloyd couldn’t help the smile that was growing on his face.
Brad looked at him annoyed while putting his hands on his waist. “You know how much being around the ninja makes me nervous!-“
“Why? Their not going to hurt you.”
“Yea? Well I’m sure Kai would like to prove you wrong.” Lloyd rolled his eyes playfully.
“They only joke around, and anyway, they won’t be able to get to you if I’m here,” he dragged his hand up to Brads cheek, pulling him down completely to close the gap, kissing him softly.
“Mhm.” Lloyd responded, smiling softly in the kiss.
And that’s how they stayed for a while. With both of their heads tilted and their bodies almost touching, would it have not been for the flowers between them.
One of Brad’s hands on Lloyd’s waist, the other on his neck. Lloyd’s hand had dropped back down to his boyfriend’s neck, his other hand still holding the flowers.
Lloyd was the first to pull apart. “We should get going or we’re gonna be late.” He reminded Brad. “Plus we don’t want someone walking by and seeing us.”
“Hm. True. Can we continue later?” Even though his puppy eyes were horrible, he still fell for them every time.
Chuckling, Lloyd gave in, “Yes, we can. We have all night, remember?”
“Yup.” If Sora had thought Lloyd’s love-sick face was bad, she would have changed it if she saw Brads. “Alright let’s get going!”
They walked out of their little hiding spot, once again holding each other’s hands, walking down the path to their reservation.
“Now which flower were you at?” Lloyd loved hearing Brad talk about his knowledge of flowers, how he always made sure the ones he picked had a special meaning. It always makes Lloyd himself feel special and loved.
He truly was grateful for the villain-free day, finally giving him time for his relationship.
