Berserk Prediction/Thoughts 9/25/17
So, it seems that Guts is trying to unlock her mind. He didn’t have any sort of realization like I thought he might. I mean it seems like he might be sort of internally brooding about it, but it didn’t affect his decision or anxiousness to try to bring her back.
I haven’t kept up with the new Anime. I watch the first season of the newer anime but I could barely stomach watching up through Griffith’s rebirth. I recently watched a review that someone did about Berserk anime and they actually made some good points. They suggest that Miura’s art was one of the big reasons that anime reproductions are never up to snuff and progressively getting worse. The reviewer suggests that it’s not just how detailed Miura’s art is, but it’s also the style of Drawing Miura uses that creates problems for potential animation especially the new CGI type animation. He had really came to some great conclusions about why the Anime’s never meet fan standards. I think he was right on and I will add a link to this post as soon as I go on youtube and refind the review.
I have been working on a Berserk fanfiction here and there but I’ve been really busy and so I only have 1 chapter up online so far. I’ll share it here when I finish the whole fanfic. I wrote the 2nd chapter but it’s not good enough yet to post and I keep changing it to try and make it better... at this rate so it’s really slow progress.
As far as predictions, I have one more. It’s one that I haven’t heard from anyone else. Though I am sure some people may have thought about it before and admittedly I haven’t visited the skull knight community or the Berserk Reddit in a couple years so some people may have suggested this without my knowledge. Anyways, my prediction is this: I think it’s quite possible that Casca’s trauma isn’t because of what Griffith did at the eclipse... it’s because what Guts did to himself in front of her while trying to get to her to save her. Can you imagine what she was thinking, feeling emotionally, and seeing from her eyes during that time? What Gut’s did may have been what ultimately traumatized her enough to cause her mental regression.
Well, I’ll try to post here on my Tumblr more often. Although I work 7 days a week 3rd shift so it’s kinda hard to find a lot of time. I’ve been reading a lot of Harlequin manga on the Balloon’s and Chapters site lately, but I need to find some new action manga to read. I’d enjoy suggestions for any new manga that’s come out in the past few years that is in the action genre but doesn’t star kids or high schoolers. Have a great day everyone.
