“Rough day at work?”
Casey let out a huge sigh and turned her gaze towards charlie. She didn’t even have the energy to rag on him. “You could say that. There was this fire at the woman's house today. She was like ancient, which is saying something coming from me and she kept trying to go back into her burning house, not because she had any jewelry or a pet or something in the house. she kept trying to go back in to get her scrap books.” She went on, her eyes glazing over slightly as she spoke. Things like this didn’t normally bother her, which made her pretty good at her job. she could leave work at work but today it was hitting her hard. “Sorry,” She said with a shake of her head when she came back to reality. “You did not need to hear my emotional rambling.”

“Well, if you’re lucky enough, maybe nothing will be set on fire today.”
“I think I used all my luck in the 70′s.” she said a bit nonchalantly. “I used it to get free booze at woodstock. So I’m afraid there is no luck left in me to stop the fires....”

His retort to her angry words were lost when his eyes fell on her, recognizing her in an instant. It had been what? Three years since he last saw her? Four? But goddamn, recognition hit him in a second, she wasn’t someone he could just easily forget. She had helped him through literal hell and he had thanked her by leaving with no explanation whatsoever. True, he had felt guilty about it the few weeks after he left her, but soon he had begun to get occupied with his own life, thoughts of her having been pushed to the back of his mind before they dissolved away into nothing but now everything came crashing back and he didn’t know as he sat frozen in his car, how to deal with it all. "Sorry.“ he started, mostly an apology for almost having hit her but he knew there were so many other things he needed to apologize for. He even let her comment about her knowing whats wrong with him slide, it wasn’t even a lie. "I live here now, I’ve lived here a while.” he said before he parked the car to the side and stepped out. "What are you doing here?“
His apology did nothing to placate her anger. He had just nearly run her over in that stupid car of his, not to mention him just pulling a Houdini act on her. As he started to pull his car over, Casey was half convinced he was going to speed away and leave town never to be seen again. She scoffed slightly as he spoke to her and actually got out of the car. He was one of the last people she had imagined running into. a part of her had actually thought he died, at least that would explain the no goodbye things. “I died again and decided that I was sick of living alone.” she explained with a grimace, it was a bit too much information but old habbit die hard. She use to be able to talk to Liam about almost anything. “I heard about this place where Supernatural beings seem to flock to so I thought i would find some of my own kind here...”

“I could go for that. I never turn down free booze.” Reid smirked, crossing his arms over his chest as he followed the girls gaze around the room. “True. Though we don’t really want them taking pictures of the body. I don’t need anything tracing back to me.” He mumbled, raising an eyebrow. “Well, that’s good. I only do water so unless you’re looking to drown someone, I don’t know if I can be much help here.”
“Ahhhh a man after my own heart.” she said dramatically placing one of her hands over her chest. She realized too late that it was on the opposite side of her heart and quickly had to change it over. “Stupid smart phone with their photo taking abilities. This is why I can never get away with anything anymore. There is always someone in the background snapping selfies or snapchatting.” At these final words one of the other people in the room finally looked their way and glared. Casey not one to be intimidated glared back. “I’m not sure drowning would work here, though it would be fun to explain to sheriff Jenner how I room full of people managed to drown in a room with no water. I think his head would explode and I’d pay to see that.”

“Your puns aren’t cute and neither are you. Leave now.” He sat down, rubbing his forehead. “I swear to God, Casey, I’m not in the mood.”
Her thin, sculpted eyebrows raised at the tone of the Sheriffs voice. “Who hit you with the cranky asshole stick today?” She questioned, done with her teasing. She had about three more turtle puns before she was out of them anyway, why waste them on someone who doesn’t appreciate them? She turned slightly to riffle through her purse, smiling slightly as she pulled out a snickers and placed it on his desk. “Here eat a snickers. Then we can talk about the other asshole in my life today who damn near ran me over in the crosswalk...”

Oliver wasn’t exactly someone with the strongest moral barometer, setting a fire to get something he chose was on the lesser end of the things he’d be willing to do depending on what he wanted. “Is that what you think of me? That i’m the brooding type? Though I suppose if i have something nice to look at I can certainty find some solace in the shadows” he was naturally flirtatious. Women were one of his downfalls, he’d never met one that a part of him didn’t want. “I’m a horn dog because i’m a fan of beautiful women with less clothing on? Is it that awful to be a fan of the female figure?” he asked though he wouldn’t change his stance regardless of her answer. His eyebrow raising slightly as the small smirk became more difficult to conceal “You’re quick to offer a solo performance. Some would say you are looking for a reason to dance for someone. I think you know me well enough to know I couldn’t possibly say no”.
“Noooo.... Not at all...” It was embarrassing to actually voice, but when Casey had thought about Oliver over the years she had pictured some brooding, coffin dwelling, blood sucking vampire. She blamed pop culture and those stupid twilight books. “Okay maybe a little, but I met you in a dark smoke filled club. The whole atmosphere back then was brooding. You can’t blame me for remembering you like that.” Casey did not want to imagine the kind of solace he could find for himself in the dark. She was being corrupted with these double entendres around every corner and conversations. “No, you are a horn dog because you want to see me without my clothes on. Keep dreaming.” She might be having a hard time adjusting to the times but she could understand the appeal of a nearly naked body. She just wasn’t that type of girl.”Maybe I’ve missed dancing.” She said with a shrug of her shoulders, “and I think you might actually appreciate the things I can do with my body.” She teased, deliberately wording it that way to mess with Oliver. God she hadn’t joked with any one like this in ages... probably the seventies... “Just let me know when you want a show. It will give me an excuse to get out my old flapper dress.”

“As long as I get my cut, I’m happy to work alongside you.” Reid teased, a small smile touching his lips. “Though, we’re going to have to do something about these witnesses, as well. What do you suggest?”
“I’ll pay you in bad puns and booze.” She offered him a brief and tiny smile. She glanced around at the group of people that surrounded them, too engrossed in their own lives to even pay attention to Casey and the boys albeit fake murder plans. “They are all in their smart phones, I doubt they would even notice. though If they did I could just start the building on fire, it’s kind of what I’m good at.”

As much as he was joking what he was saying wasn’t very far out of the realm of things he would actually do. “That was indeed me. I stood in the shadows like a real creep and watched you work. Is this a bad time to confess i’ve actually been stalking you?” he words only giving a hint that he was actually joking. “Well that’s the first mistake you’re making, why bother keeping your clothes on? So much less exciting. I’m far more impartial to you when you were dancing, but, just my opinion”
“I knew it.” she said, her tone even and serious. If there had actually been a fire at the Circus Casey might have been concerned that Oliver had set it. There was just something about his tone that made him sound serious. She hadn’t exactly know him long before she died that first time and then she hadn’t seen him since. “Makes sense, I mean aren’t shadows where you feel most comfortable? You can stalk to your heart content. If you see me do anything embarrassing though be sure to ignore it.” She said demurely, thinking about how she fell out of that tree the other day rescuing a kitten from it’s twisted branches. “I like keeping my clothes on you horn dog.” She teased, pushing him slightly. She couldn’t really understand why everything was so sexualized now a days, not that she really minded, it just confused her. Everything was dirty. “I actually haven’t danced in a while, people just aren’t as impressed with my Lindy Hop like they were in the 20′s. Maybe I’m just not dancing for the right people though. You want a solo performance?”

“Doesn’t that just give you more reasons to not drink right now?” Danielle asked, shaking her head. “I mean, I’m not trying to play mom but your liver might thank me eventually.”
“I work 48 hours straight.” she explained leaning against the counter top. Her eyes boring into the girl to make her point get across. “and then get 4 days off. I need to not be sober for the first 24 of those hours, at least this week. Screw what my liver needs.”

“Oh well, you know, sometimes it’s an accident. People don’t always want to set things on fire.”
Casey’s head bobbed. As someone who had set a bit of accidentaly fires in her day, she understood that people didn’t always mean to set things on fire. “Still though, less fires would be good. And less kittens in trees. Keep your kitten in the house where they belong.”
ohdarcie
“I don’t know,” Darcie shrugged without looking up, “perhaps people are just practising for the next witch hunt.”
“That is just insane.” she said, all amusement gone from her voice. She seriously hoped the girl was joking.

“What can I say i’m a man of grand gestures. A pun may get your attention, but a fire that burns for days, that’s how you really pull someone back” a small smirk on the edge of his lips. “Firefighter though? Bit on the nose isn’t it? Perhaps I should work on one of those mobile blood collecting buses?”
She hadn’t seen Oli in years, it was so good to see a friendly face, especially after having run into Liam. “Grand Gestures huh?” She questioned, averting her eyes from him as she tried not to chuckle and give herself away before she said what she said next. “I bet you started that Fire at the Circus last week. It was In tents.” she lifted her gaze towards him once more, hoping he would get it before she moved on. “What?!? I enjoy it... for the most part. Plus walking into a fire doesn’t really phase me so I’m useful at least. It’s not like I have a lot of useful skills. Dancing and stealing wont let me live comfortably, at least not if I want to keep my clothes on.”
oliverkanerp
Oliver glanced at the woman and instantly recognized her, deciding to interrupt her conversation with the other person “Perhaps I should stop setting fires to get your attention then?” he asked, his cold gaze slowly revealing a small smile as he saw an old friend.
Casey turned her head ready to give the interloper a peice of her mind. She had yet to have her morning coffee and was rather on the grouch side... or at least grouchier then normal. The harsh words she had at the ready dissipated when she saw Oliver’s face. “God Damn it Oli. You should knew better then that. If you want my attention just tell a really bad pun and I’ll be there...” she teased turning her attention off of the girl she was talking to before, not that the girl seemed to mind...
