“ i know, i know. expect the, um, the unexpected or whatever. but when you’re shy like me and ‘reo, love doesn’t happen, even accidentally! you’re so mean to me, b-boo. oreo and i are both offended. ”
Zayn smiled as he saw the other. It was strange to see a Louis, well not really a Louis but that looked like him, that didn’t kick him or said something nasty that he had to retort to. “Is this Oreo?” he said excitedly, moving forward to tickle the cat under its chin the way he knew cats liked, and smiled as he looked at Casey. “He’s adorable, thanks for inviting me over.” Zayn took a step back, running a finger through his fringe. “How are you?”
Casey hoped that by being several inches shorter than Louis and more delicate than either of his brothers, it wasn’t too odd for Zayn to be meeting the sibling of his bandmate. He nodded at the questioning, watching as Oreo tipped his head into the touch of the tickling finger. Casey couldn’t help but smile, a blush warming up his cheeks. “Oh, um, thank you. It’s - no don’t worry about it.” Casey set the cat down, watching him weave his way in between Zayn’s legs in greeting. “I’m -- I’m doing really well! A bit, uh, a bit excited to have someone over?” That probably sounded silly and he shrugged it off.
“what if he’s into boy cats? i mean, that’d make it all the better really; take care of the breeding problem entirely.”
“louis w-william tomlinson, stop!” he squeaked in distress. “oreo is as pure as me!! he’s not gonna do that. i’m too young to have my child, um, dating. no sir.”

“Well… that’s true actually. That I wouldn’t dare. I won’t get tired of you. At least I haven’t so far and it’s been twenty-five years so I think that says something. But meeting new people and making friends would be good for both of us regardless.”
“You’re so s-silly, Killie! I’m glad you’re not tired of me, um, yet. It means I can still sneak into your bed and not get kicked out! Can we -- can we make some of the same friends? So we can still hang out lots?”
“You are. Don’t make me fight you. Yeah exactly. I don’t mind this place but it’d suck without you and Lou here.”
“You wouldn’t d-dare fight me! I would lose! I, um, I hope we can meet more people soon. Otherwise, you might get tired of me?”
Zayn was never one to pass down an opportunity to pet a cat, and Casey was nice, they got along, or Zayn hoped so anyway. The solo singer knocked on the door, hoping his excited smile didn’t show just too much how crazy he was about cats. “Casey? Its Zayn!”
Casey’s rather proud of himself. He’s having company over and has managed to find a friend for Oreo. It’s perhaps not as good as finding one for himself but maybe the two would go hand in hand. He wasn’t sure how Louis would feel about it, knowing that the two were at odds but Casey kept an open mind. Scooping the cat into his arms, he nodded “Just a s-second!” he chirped, letting the door open to allow the other male in.
“Hey, what about I come over now? I mean, if you’re like, dressed and not still in bed or something.”
“ That would, yeah -- that’s definitely, um, fine! I’m very dressed. ”
“oh, you’re sure about that? isn’t he a teenager in cat years? i’d say he’s up to the hormones stage, shy or not… ”
“no, louis. oh my g-goodness, stop. he’s pure and innocent. he’s not into, um, girl cats. he’s really not!”
“bro, you better watch those adventures like a hawk unless you wanna end up with a breeding problem. ”
“no, stop, lou! oreo might be, um, curious but he’s also shy like me. he doesn’t do breeding th-things.”
“Considering you’re cute and tiny too, that sounds about right. Aw, he does? Koda loves Oreo a lot too, I think he’s glad they have each other here with all the new people and surroundings.”
“Oh hush, Killie! I’m really not. He does! That’s, um, that’s good that they love each other. ‘s like me ‘n you -- sticking together with all the new p-people about, right? I’m very comfortable with you.”
“What’s the point in having a phone if you never answer!” she said, tapping her phone angrily before letting her head thump against the wall. “Forget I even exist, why don’t you,” she grumbled to herself before noticing the other. “Sorry, ignore me. Sister problems.”
He flinched slightly at the thud against the wall, eyes drifting over to her. “Oh, um, that’s okay... I get the same way with, uh, Lou sometimes. He’s v-very busy.”
“Don’t worry, I promise I won’t do it. Well, if you’re not busy or anything, I would love to come over to meet him. Just let me know when there’s a good time.”
“But do you p-pinkie promise? Um, this weekends good. Or Monday? We could do either...”
“I know that phobias are irrational and that you can’t explain why you’re scared of whatever you’re scared of but I still find it so fucking weird when I meet someone who’s scared of Koda. I can see how he could look a bit like a bear cub but still, it’s a bear cub, as in tiny and cute.”
“Being afraid of Kota would be like someone being afraid of m-me! He’s just a cuddlebug and Oreo, um, loves him.”
“I don’t? Oh well, stopping then, no more charm, gonna be a dick now. No just kidding. I kind of want to meet him now, to see if you’re telling the truth. Not that I don’t trust you… just, you know, I like cats.”
“I’d really, um, rather you didn’t please. You sh-should meet him though! Oreo would like that. And, uh, I’m still very sure he’ll like you too. You could come visit while K-Killian is out?”
“Aw, that’s cute. What kinda pet is Oreo? I had a bunny named that when I was younger. I don’t have a pet here but my sister does. I’ve been wanting to get a dog but I’ll probably wait a bit on that.”
“Oreo’s my cat -- he’s a t-tuxedo cat and I love him. Um, guess great minds think alike! Waiting is good. Oreo gets along with, uh, dogs though!”
“Mhm, trying to be my sweetest. Not really that bad. Oh do you think he would? Or are you only saying that to be nice now?
“You don’t have to, um, try for my sake! Oh he d-definitely would like you. I wouldn’t lie.”
