i have a lot to say about the culture surrounding coming out and how much i hate it but it basically all boils down to how coming out is framed as necessary and something you just do as soon as it’s “safe” when you’re really not obligated to come out at all. like you literally don’t have to. even if it is relatively safe you do not have to put yourself through a potentially traumatic experience because you think it’s part of the lgbt experience or a rite of passage or whatever. you don’t have to. that is an option.

INSTRUCTIONS:

The PSD is grouped into a few different folders. 

1) BACKGROUND IMAGE with the background image being a smart object. Just double click on the layer titled DOUBLE CLICK and a new window will open. Paste whatever photo you would like in there, drag it around to your liking, and go to File > Save. You can then close out of that tab and go back to the PSD.

The dimensions of the background photo are 466x690 and the total image size is 500x740. i have included the middle font where your blog URL and MUSE name go in the zip file as well as the quote + indie/private/selective font

2) Folder for PSD. Drag whatever PSD you use into that folder and delete the current one.

3) TEXT. Just double click on the layer to edit.

I always sharpen my image after I save it. Add a gif overlay to spice it up!

Things that need to stop - non Italians please read

- The romanticization of mafia. Seriously, stop it. Stop with your “mafia!character”, “mafia au” and all that shit. You wouldn’t do a “ku klux klan au” so fucking stop that.

- Thinking that Italy is… stuck in the 20s? Like, when my best friend went to the US they asked her if we have computers. An example:

- Also on this topic, the imagery of Italy as a countryside where all we do is drink wine while viewing the sunset wearing long dresses.. like….. that Italy literally does not exist.

- Pony and Bologna do not fucking rhyme. You’re just mispronouncing (by a lot) Bologna.

- Spaghetti is plural, the singular is spaghetto. “Spaghetti noodles” makes no sense (it’s like chai tea).

- Alfredo sauce is not italian. Neither is chicken broccoli pasta or 99% of the “italian” stuff you cook. Nope, we don’t have mac and cheese, and if you ask for a “pepperoni” pizza in Italy you’re going to get bell peppers.

- Italians aren’t poc. I don’t even want to explain this.

- About this, racism works differently in Europe than the states. In Italy some of the “races” that face the worst discrimination are people from east Europe. All of them are usually paler than most italians, and they have blue or green eyes and blonde hair. And they still get discriminated.

- We don’t kiss people in the cheeks as a greeting. We just barely touch the cheeks together (sometimes they don’t even touch) while making a kissing sound. Also usually a man and a woman just shake hands.

This is all so true and goo except the fettuccine Alfredo because apparently they are an Italian thing, and I was soo shooketh to find out because I never in my life heard of people cooking them or saw them in a restaurant.
