What drives you to make certain purchase decisions? Do you truly believe by walking about in clothes that are Prada and not Primark that it makes you any more or less of a person? Does it enable you to become better at your job? Does it get your message across (other than look what I have and you don’t) ======================== I suppose it depends on the sector that you work within. Let’s take it to a human being level. When all is said and done, when you are in your 11th hour...how many fancy things will you trade in order to spend another moment with loved ones? How many cars and Armani bags has it cost you to realise that the real treasures are the moments we share with one another? ======================== You may have a lot of Stuff, but still have nothing of real true value. Do you have a set “to do” list for each day in order to make headway with your overalls plans, whatever they might be? ======================== Sometimes you glide through your set tasks, all separate cogs of the plan working in smooth unison like a Swiss watch. However, there are times when this is not the case and the “to do” list collapses...as though it were a house of cards confronted with a gust of air. ======================== Have you ever considered that it wasn’t that you weren’t productive..but rather you hadn’t prioritised between all the tasks as to which would be deem the most important? Those tasks..those are your frogs ======================== This superb analogy which originates from Mark Twain. Speaks about conquering those tasks which are most accredited towards reaching your larger goals. Tracey covers most of what we strive to do in order to become highly productive beings, which is list making, and the step by step actions required in order to complete each task on the list. However he also covers that we must prioritise utility the 80/20 concept: 20% of our tasks will account for 80% of our results. We must really pull apart our habitual thinking of “a higher volume of tasks completed equates to the results required for success” ======================== He also covers how to get round missing real deadlines, why we procrastinate and gives practical and actionable solutions as how to overcome these negative behaviours in order to achieve success in any field. ======================== I would recommend this book to anyone who feels that they are beginning to Plateau, or having troubling getting their ducks in a row to begin with. Remember you can be busy without being truly productive! Can you even believe that there are some that would gladly wish this day away...Yes I know, I can’t believe it either! ======================== There are people that would willingly shorten their lives and wish away what finite amount of time they have on this planet due to how they perceive a specific day! ======================== If you are feeling this “I can’t wait for today to end” type of emotion, figure out why. Is there something occurring that will put you in danger? Are you being forced against your will to act out a deranged maniac’s fantastical thoughts? Or is it that you just don’t like the job you are in? ========================= You will encase yourself in this perpetual emotional hell if you do not make a change. Make small steps towards gaining the career you want. Learn online, join groups. Wake up grateful that you wake up....in a bed...in a warm house. You need to make little changes in your current circumstances in order to move towards becoming person you truly feel you are.
