Gabe’s truck was parked outside his small beachfront house. It wasn’t big and when he had bought it, it had been in horrendous shape. Hours of hard labour, weekends and after work had gone into turning it into a charming oceanside cottage. He was walking his small dog along the beach, heading home for the night when he spotted a shadow perched on the bench outside his door. Well this was a pleasant surprise. Stopping in front of the back door, he unclipped the dog’s leash and let Toffee run inside to have her classic chomp on bone, evening nap session.

Reaching for the petite brunette, he didn’t bother with gratuitous hellos or questions about her day. Cupping the nape of her neck, while his other hand slid down her back to do the same with her pert bottom, he drew her up and into a lingering kiss.

It was late and Cassandra knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep. Her mind raced with thoughts...about every little thing, work, life, family, friends, and then Gabe. And that was how she made her way to his place, sitting down on his bench and waiting for him to arrive home. She looked up when she saw the headlights shine along the path up to the beachfront house that came to a stop and she watched him get out of the truck and stop in front of her, reaching for her.

There came a sigh of content from her when he drew her into a long kiss and she returned it, pulling her body up off the bench and flush against his body, arms snaking around his neck and wrapping around him as she deepened the kiss, not bothering with pleasantries or greetings. There was a certain need that radiated from her, and he seemed to have caught onto that. She let her hand trail down his chest, still kissing him passionately. She gave the customer the finger and a pointed look before looking over at the other then looking straight ahead and downing her shot of tequila. “People really suck sometimes,” Cass murmured, half to the bartender and half to the stranger sitting next to her.

Making her way back up to the bar, Roxie was comfortably buzzed and really just looking for a good time. She’d just posted a new video on her OnlyFans, so her confidence was sky high. She felt like nothing could drag her down at the moment.

Cassandra was walking down through fair lane at ten o’clock at night, looking at the store as she passed Happy Tails but not going inside. Instead she shoved her hands in her pockets and kept wandering aimlessly down the sidewalk, seeing another -- not close enough to them to tell if she recognized them or not or if they were a complete stranger -- at the same time that she saw a shooting star race through the sky. Her eyes flickered up and she said towards the other person, “Shooting star. Make a wish.” There was a little smirk dancing on her lips.

   She had an apartment, at least a place to herself. Her client still hadn’t given her instructions leading her to fill her time. Although Freyja usually kept to herself, the ghost-girl wandered out, smoking hash as she walked down the street. It took her a few minutes until what looked like a bar sign came into view, the girl moved with easy careful not to bump into the people who exited the establishment when she noticed someone outside nursing a drink.

Cassandra held a cigarette between her fingers, taking a drag from it before putting it out in the ashtray and returning her eyes to the drink in her hand. With a stoic expression she slammed back the shot, the whiskey going down her throat and she didn’t pull a face. Another night of drinking was passing by. She could feel this agitated energy that she knew was coming from whatever mental illness she had that hadn’t been addressed, and this was the time she tended to drink a lot. Hearing a voice come up to her, she nodded in acknowledgement. "Are you new in town? Mayhem’s great. I personally prefer Affinity myself, but this place was closer from work.” She shrugged. Were there legit tears actually forming in her eyes? What was going on with her? “Sorry.”

Jay adored his job, but fuck did it leave him sleep deprived, between the long ass shifts and working for Richie he took his sleep where he could get it, even if that was laid out across three benches with people walking back and forth. It wasn’t the best rest but it was something and he was doing alright until he felt a pair of eyes on him, cocking one eye open Jay sighed at the sight of the other who looked like they needed a seat and pulled himself up. “Sorry ‘bout that…just got to sleep where I can these days, busy shifts y’know?” He yawned.

This was stupid. Cassandra’s mother had insisted she go to the emergency room after she’d stupidly drank too much and wasn’t able to keep anything down, vomiting at least twenty times. Her mother was concerned about alcohol poisoning and so there Cassandra was, in the hospital with an IV pumping fluids down her and Zofran given to her. She admittedly felt better, but still, she was ready for them to discharge her. She wandered the hallways like a zombie in her hospital gown, exhausted and bored, when she saw someone lying down on one of the benches. She shrugged her shoulders at his words. “I don’t blame you,” she said. “Can I just leave? I don’t want to be here. Actually, it’s silly and a waste of a bed that I’m here to begin with. I’m only here because I got a little too drunk but who doesn’t from time to time? Please,” her eyes pleaded. “I really want to go home. Can you tell them to speed up the process?”

Cassandra originated from Perth, Australia and she has two younger brothers, who are one year apart. They are twenty-five and twenty-six years old. Cassandra also has a foster sister who is six years old. Her parents are happily married and in their “older” age have decided to foster and plan on adopting the six year old girl. Cassandra absolutely loves her brothers, but her sister also has a special place in her heart. 

Her family lives thirty minutes away from her in another town, but she sees them often. 

Cassandra became interested in the piano at the age of four. She took classes and absorbed herself in music. 

Growing up, Cassie was somewhat dark, often lost in her thoughts. She was friendly but then she would have intense moody spells. Her mother was terrified that she was inheriting Bipolar Disorder that her grandmother has. 

At 15, Cassie had an involvement with a boy that she was deeply in love with. His family however, did not like Cassie around and told Cassie’s family as much. Cassie’s family and her boyfriend were all at a loss for what to do. 

Then, it came up that they had to travel to the USA for a job, and it was only supposed to be temporary, and Cassandra counted on that. She wrote her boyfriend letters but with time, they fizzled out, as they didn’t end up moving back. 

Cassie’s family started out in New Jersey then moved to Los Angeles, California. She went to college for music and has her bachelor’s degree. Cassie herself moved to Santa Ysabel two years ago and is now working as an elementary school piano teacher. 

Although she is kind of reckless and impulsive, Cassandra has a soft side to her and loves children and keeps that side separate. She secretly has untreated depression and bipolar disorder and she suspects this but doesn’t talk about it. She binges on alcohol and has frequent casual sex to fill the void she feels in her life.
