I said it once already and I will say it again, yes, you gave Iron Man the perfect ending and cemented his role as the Earth’s best defender and MCU’s greatest hero, but you did a shitty, outrageous thing to Tony Stark, who was broken most of his life, who never had a chance to be fully happy and to be a husband and a father in a full world and watch his baby girl grow and see families reunited and everything coming back to balance

was his death heroic? yes

was his life finished? fuck no

Their responses to Tony and Nat’s arcs are obnoxious af. At least Markus had the balls to acknowledge the Cap boner all four of them have. Letting them write for, and the Russos direct, a non Cap franchise was Marvel’s biggest mistake because they just screwed over every other character to give Steve what they viewed as his rightful and deserved happy ending.

Oh my god, how bloody oblivious are they! They’re calling 5 years with the family he so desperately wanted - “a perfect retirement life”? 5 years plagued by trauma and guilt and “what if I could fix it” and “I haven’t done enough”? In a world that’s deep in mourning? That’s the “perfect” life Tony deserved? Fuck you! 3000!

I guess we should at least be thankful they let him die a hero instead of having him steal someone else’s life and happiness for himself, because his own selfish need for satisfaction trumped the rest of the world (I’m so sorry for you, Steve)
