Toga is torn between doing something that would make him happy and something that would make sure that he could have a stable life
This pressure sort of stems from his parents, even though they don’t realize that they’re putting this pressure on him
He uses reading as a coping mechanism to ignore the anxieties that plague his mind every day
While not a misogynist like other students, Toga fully believes in tradition and modesty
Especially when it comes to women/girls from his school
On top of also not feeling a connection to any clubs, Toga also quickly found himself becoming bored of each club (as well as the people in those clubs)
While he understands the delinquents’ reasons for becoming the people they are now, he disapproves of their methods of defending themselves
Toga is heavily protective of the underclassmen, especially the girls
Not in a creepy way but because he projects his guilt of not being able to protect his sister onto the girl students
Toga actually has a very sensitive stomach
It seems that no matter what he eats, he’ll always get a stomachache
Some of his classmates joke that someone is secretly poisoning his bentos
Toga actually used to be quite the pervert but after his sister began to make lewd cosplay posts, it made him realize that he was no better than the people who thirsted after his sister’s cosplays
Out of all the students in his class, Toga gets along most with Taro due to their similar interests and worries about the future
He mainly reads books within the fantasy genre
Since he quit all the clubs, Toga only has time to focus on his school work
Toga is actually quite fit despite not having a set work out routine
This is due to his time in the Martial Arts Club
But he also walks a lot, as if helps clears his mind
Toga is one of the most mature students on campus, following only second after Sakyu
He avoids socializing with others often, believing that it will only lead to gossiping
Also because Toga feels awkward with interacting with majority of the student body who are in clubs he had previously quit
Kk,,,I feel like Hazu and Otohiko have similar issues/are sort of written similarly? They’re both shy and nervous boys with fathers for look down on them for their femininity or feminine interests. It’s not a bad thing but it would’ve been nice if Yandere Dev differentiated them a bit,,,
Ps. I really hope Mida isn’t his love interest like some ppl were saying…
He’d never admit this out loud but Hazu actually has perverted thoughts on the daily
While he’d love to have a cat, Hazu knows that a cat would likely destroy his fabric
Hazu has hoodies in specifically black and red colors
Hazu is the type to cover his eyes or ears whenever something bad is about to happen when watching shoes or movies
His fingers are covered/wrapped in bandages from pricking his finger on the needle
The only reason he doesn’t have a business of selling his creations is because the financial side of it would stress him out
It would also take him too long to make a large abundance of his creations
While superstitious, Hazu doesn’t like the idea of interacting with anything occult-related
Despite his relationship with his father, Hazu still loves his father dearly and doesn’t wish harm upon him
His father’s opinion matters very much to Hazu
Most students believe that he is mute/non-verbal due to Hazu constantly avoiding social interactions
In his journal are design ideas for his sewing creations, colored and all
Hazu keeps a small collection of trash/objects to put into his scrap-book
Because of his bangs, Hazu actually has a hard time seeing where he is going
This often leads to him bumping into other students or walking into corners or tripping on the stairs
Hazu’s only friend is Otohiko due to their similar relationships to their fathers and their hobbies
Like how he doesn't swear, Hazu prefers people who also don’t swear
This may be a bit of a hot take, I actually kinda like Kyuji. Especially him and Osana,,,I know i know that he originally like her for her looks but I like the idea of Kyuji eventually falling in love with Osana genuinely. Maybe after he rescues her cat??? Because it would let him see a more gentle side of her…

Also yea, there’s gonna be a lot of Osana x Kyuji in these headcanons.
Kyuji has a natural tan and lip piercing
He originally never worse his lip piercing to school because of Akademi’s dress code
However, he was willing to break it for Osana
Kyuji and Osana are next-door neighbors
Their bedrooms are quite literally right across each other
They became acquainted that way
He secretly gazes at her through his window
This is why he originally fell for Osana’s looks
Before developing his crush on Osana, Kyuji used to be be quite popular but no on quite knew why

He’s always wanted a cat but he’s never had the time to properly care for one
Although anxious with Osana, Kyuji is able to be firm when he needs to
Hence why he was able to confront Osana’s stalker about giving back his cat
He loves to spoil Osana’s cat, buying the pet many toys, treats, etc.
Kyuji knows all the best spots in Buraza Town because he used to go out with his friends all the time
The saddest girl to ever exist,,,at least in YanSim. It would’ve been cool if the long skirt feature had worked for her,,,
There’s a bit of shipping in this one (Dairoku x Horuda). My favorite rare pair,,,
Horuda’s family was cursed, causing her to have negative energy around her—which makes people want to naturally avoid her
Even if they don’t believe in negative energy/aura
While she fantasized about violence, Horuda would never actually want harm to happen to the bullies
She just wants them to leave her alone
She also hates seeing blood in real life
Horuda did have a crush on Budo at one point
However, she practically bullied herself into dropping her crush and feelings
Horuda holds grudges for a long time
She never forgets when someone wrongs her, especially if they seemed to enjoy it
This is why she can’t forgive Koroko
Horuda is a secret fujoshi, secretly shipping her male classmates together based on the yaoi she reads
She reads a lot of romance novels, specially the type with toxic male leads
She understands that they’re toxic and would lead to an unhealthy relationship but she believes that those types of people would be the only ones to pursue her romantically
She has crooked, uneven teeth
She has lot of body hair
She’s too afraid to shave due to the possibility of cutting herself and bleeding
She has severe acne and acne scars
She has terrible posture due to her attempt to not to stand out
Unfortunately, it makes her stand out more
Horuda loves to draw but would rather die than let anyone see her drawings
She used to linger around the library in an attempt to converse with Kumi
But she stopped when she realized that she looked like a stalker
Despite her fear of the delinquents, Horuda often fantasizes about Dairoku in romantic scenarios
Unlike her crush in Budo, Horuda has some hope because Dairoku defended her against the bullies a few times
Horuda used to wear the longer skirt variation of Akademi’s uniform but switched to fit the majority (and hopefully fit in)
Next up is Kuu Dere. I think it’s kinda interesting how she fakes being a Kuudere. But I wish her design wasn’t such a blatant reference to her inspiration.
And also before anyone gets confused, when writing Headcanons, I use the characters’ “real names” rather than their nicknames. So Kuu Dere is referred to as Kumi.
Kumi study-watches numerous animes that consists of kuuderes
This is so that she can perfect her ‘Kuudere’ persona
While she likes video games, she thinks the Gaming Club is impractical
She also hates Gema, thinking he’s too loud
She and Midori aren’t exactly as close as they used to be
At least in Kumi’s eyes, mainly because Midori ruins her “Kuudere” persona
But at the same time, she can’t fully tell Midori to back off
Kumi dyes her hair blue pretty regularly, she also cuts it to prevent having to take longer dying it
She hates small-talk, hence why she spends as much time as she can in the library to avoid it
While she likes the idea of violence, she’d never actually particulate—instead watch it happen
She believes that there’s nothing wrong with this mindset
Kumi has a fascination with guns, often dreaming about using them
She even has her own gun
Kumi really hates Osana for some reason that she cannot fully understand
Kumi uses her “kuudere” persona to secretly be snarky on purpose to others
She then plays if off as not understanding what she said was rude/not appropriate
Kumi genuinely does not understands most memes/jokes, further adding to her hatred amongst them—beyond her kuudere persona
She has two cousins who visit her often (Tsundere-Chan and Himedere-Chan)
She has a list of people she wishes violence upon
Her favorite color is blue, hence why she dyes her hair that said color
She hates martial arts as her mother used to do martial arts and would make Kumi sit to wait for her classes to finish

Sakyu’s Portion
Sakyu manages a tan on her skin
Sakyu hates traveling, airports stress her out immensely
Due to having no natural smell, Sakyu likes to buy different types of perfumes
Specifically ones with floral scents because they remind her about her mother
Sakyu is very hard to impress due to her easily bored nature
Sakyu loves to cosplay, which is why she wears contact lenses
Similar to how she feels about video games, Sakyu dislikes name due to how inaccurate and cringy anime is
She especially loathes the harem genre
Sakyu works part time at Buraza Town’s Street
Sakyu is secretly a hopeless romantic but doesn’t actually like the idea of being in a romantic relationship
Unlike her sister, she doesn’t have a sadistic streak and doesn’t enjoy murder
Sakyu didn’t enjoy murdering the monster hunters
But she will do it if necessary
Because of her succubus DNA, Sakyu is very beautiful/attractive
Many boys and girls have confessed to her, but she’s rejected all of them
Mainly because she doesn’t want to risk having to kill a lover if they find out what she is
Does Inkyu’s homework for her so that they both keep their good grades
Sakyu’s makeup is inspired by cosplays/cosplayers that she’s seen online
Sakyu has had numerous piercings over the years
Though, she currently doesn’t wear piercings as to avoid being sent to the counselor’s office for violating Akademi’s dress code
She likes to wear obnoxious, dangling earrings that match her ring
Inkyu’s Portion
Inkyu hates any type of literature that doesn’t include pictures in it
Inkyu has a very short attention span
Also a part of the reason that she hates reading
If Hanako and Inkyu were to interact with one another, they’d gush on and on about how much they care and love their older sister/brother
Inkyu actually really likes bugs, as she views them similar to humans
Inkyu is on the chubbier side due to her constantly consumption of pastries
Inkyu has an extreme sweet tooth
Inkyu is the type of person to fall if children cry
Though, she tries to hide this by covering her mouth but her eyes usually give her away
Inkyu’s always on her phone, scrolling through social media
This doesn’t help with her short attention span
Inkyu is actually plain stupid, despite all her centuries of living
Inkyu simply copies Sakyu’s homework and her classmates’ notes to keep up her high grades
Inkyu used to be really attached to her parents, but when her father died and when her mother disappeared, she began to become heavily attached to Sakyu
Inkyu, because of her thirst for blood, loves meat and hates vegetables
She especially hates tomatoes because they remind too much of blood—which makes her hungrier
Inkyu hates taking pictures/people taking pictures of her
Mainly because she hates staying still
Similar to Sakyu, Inkyu finds anime and video games to be cringy and inaccurate
She also hates western adaptations of vampires
Inkyu finds the bullies amusing and often gives them gossip to work with
She particularly finds Hana Daiyama cute/amusing because of how dumb the other girl is
Next up is everyone’s favorite fuckboy, Senpai!! It actually wasn’t very hard to come up with headcanons for this guys lol,,,
Taro has a slightly feminine, baby face
He hates when people comment on it
These types of comments also make Taro avoid ever growing his hair long or styling it
Taro can’t grow facial hair no matter how hard he tries
Taro is allergic to animals, especially cats
Taro keeps a collection of notebooks filled with his own stories somewhere hidden in his room
He was worried that if anyone found out about them, he’d be made fun of since they’re when from he was little
Taro is very interested in gardening and has numerous books about it
Taro is actually a floater, meaning that he is well-known but no one knows him enough to be considered “close” with him
Taro has always had terrible hearing, stemming from childhood
Out of everyone, in his class at least, Taro gets along with Toga Tabara due to their similar worry about what they're gonna do in the future after graduation
Taro’s parents are the type of emphasize politeness and being a “gentleman”
This is partly the reason why he allows Osana to treat him the way she does
Despite their lack of involvement in his and Hanako’s lives, Taro cares about his parents’ deeply
While he loves Hanako dearly, he is grateful that his parents chose to not have anymore children—slightly worried that they would be just as clingy as Hanako is
Taro keeps a small collection of books in his room, a personal library
Despite this, he still travels to Buruza Town’s local library
If he ever were to play video games, Taro would likely play visual novels
He would play Doki Doki Literature Club, believing it was actually about literature and making poems
Taro has nice handwriting due to his hobby, calligraphy
Hey hey, I’m back again. This time with headcanons! I plan to try and do each of the 202X characters at Akademi High (even the faculty). I tried to keep all the headcanons as close to canon as possible. Of course, there is some of my own personal preferences/ideas relating to specific characters (at least ship-wise).
Ayano styles her hair differently, specifically depending on what she believes Taro finds most attractive at the moment
At the end of each week, she’d style her hair similar to the rival that she eliminated
Despite her favorite color being black, she doesn’t believe that the color suits her (fashion-wise)
She’d dress pretty plainly, having no fashion sense in general
Surprisingly, once Ayano purchases a manga or anime, she’ll consume all the media she can about it
That way, when people talk to her about it, she can understand it and blend in as an “ordinary girl”
She is a mama’s girl
Ayano believes that her thoughts about Taro are perverted but in actuality they’re quite wholesome (holding hands, hugging, etc.)
Ayano is actually very pretty, but she’s also very creepy—balancing out her attractiveness with her creepy demeanor
Ayano is actually very superstitious/into the occult but keeps her interests quiet out of respect for her father
Ayano has a similar problem to Saiki Kusuo, in which they both want to go unnoticed but constantly attract the attention of others
Ayano actually likes the nickname, “Yan-Chan”, as if comes off as the type of nickname that “sweet and gentle girl” would have
Ayano is asexual but isn’t opposed to intimacy
Ayano is actually a very picky eater
Ayano very sensitive to the cold
Ayano actually has a lot of things gifted to her by Jokichi but keeps it organized in drawers or her closet, which is why her room looks plain
Heyyy guys, sorry I disappeared for a few months. I haven’t given up on my rewrite but I’ve also begun to work on something else that is also YanSim rewrite related (though it’s entirely separate). Anyways, here’s my redesign of Mida Rina.
I wanted to keep the “sexy teacher” aspect of the design while also trying to keep her realistic? I hope that came across in the design. Anyways, hopefully, I’ll post more redesign and eventually talk about another rewrite/au related to said redesigns.
As the title suggests, this is my concept for a YanSim rewrite/au. I don’t really plan to make this rewrite a full-on game or story but I do want to ramble about it bc I have no one to talk about this with irl so I hope you guys like it. And sorry if it’s a little messy, I’m just writing out my thoughts as it comes.
So as you can see for the rivals, I cut the amount of rivals in-half. This is mainly because I didn’t really care for most of the previous established rivals. Speaking of which, I feel that this is a HUGE problem with Yandere Simulator. The creator seems to have a tendency to establish numerous characters to the story and lore (and more often than not they DO NOT NEED TO BE INCLUDED ON THE WIKI) but he doesn’t really do anything to make us (the literal audience) care about the characters. And at most, I feel people only care about the characters for their appearance or the small scraps of information that the creator gives us in the wiki which then leads people to make their own assumptions/more in-depth versions of the characters. Though, I could always be wrong lol.
Nonetheless, it’s time I talk about my version’s rivals.
Osana Najimi: Osana is still Taro’s childhood friend in this rewrite but she’s not his best friend in this route. This is because when they were younger, Osana had moved away and they lost touch. However, for some “unknown” reason, Osana and her family are back in town. I’d imagine that the two of them have unresolved romantic feelings lingering between them when she moves back—making her an instant target/rival for Ayano. She’d have that similar nagging personality from the original but it’s less cutesy and more “abrasive”—she’s heavily inspired by Mahiru Koizumi from Danganronpa. But in short, she means well but she’s not that great at showing it.
Otohiko Meichi: I know Otohiko Meichi is a little outta left-field as a rival but I just wanted a male rival who was also soft and delicate to balance Osana's harsh and abrasive nature since they’re the first two rivals—so there’s Otohiko. Anyways, he sort of remains the same from his original counterpart in canon. However, I did decide to merge a part of his character with Hazu. So basically, Otohiko is extremely feminine and likes to sew. But I did decide to make him related to one of the delinquents and hang out with them from time to time when he’s not in the nurse’s office lol. He falls in love with Taro at first glance as Taro defends him during an argument with his said brother.
Kokona Harukawa: Kokona makes her re-debut as a rival lol. Though, she’s not the first rival this time. Instead, I decided to make her the third rival and basically steal the event that occurs during Amai’s week which is the bake sale since in my rewrite, she’s still a part of the cooking club. Kokona’s personality remains the same, sweet and a bit naïve with a hidden burden of having to get rid of her father’s financial debts. She only finds Taro conventionally attractive with his personality only playing a small role in her wanting to pursue him. Nonetheless, she quickly becomes a target for Ayano—especially as she doesn’t truly “appreciate” Taro in Ayano’s eyes.
Budo Masuyama: Budo is more of a rival in the traditional sense rather than the more romantic sense (but the romantic implications will still be there). His reason for approaching Taro will be to get him to join the Judo Club (this rewrite’s version of the Martial Arts Club). Budo admires Taro’s sense of justice as well as all the good deeds he’s done the past few weeks (the time he’s spent with the rivals). To Ayano, if Taro joins the Judo Club, he’ll have less time left on his hands (less time than he already has) to spend time with Ayano. This obviously is not good (for Ayano) so she has to eliminate him before the week’s end (where Taro will be convinced to join the club).
Megami Saikou: Megami remains somewhat the same. She’s still the school’s student council president and she also doesn’t trust Ayano—viewing her as a dangerous person. However, there’s also a major difference in her character compared to the original YanSim. Megami is the only one in her family to feel some type of way towards Ayano. She has a strong, almost unhealthy fixation on ruining Ayano as “revenge” for something that someone in Ayano’s family had done (though I won’t name who, I’m sure you can guess who did this). She believes that Ayano is just like this person and will try to make Taro see things the same way. No matter if Ayano uses non-lethal or lethal methods, Megami will always see Ayano as a figure that’s not to be trusted. Thus, Ayano must eliminate her as even Ayano is completely unsure if Senpai trusts her enough to not listen to Megami’s words.
These little descriptions are still concepts and are subject to change the more I work on this rewrite. If you have any ideas or simply want to share your opinion on my rewrite, feel free to do so. Thanks for reading lol.
Weird trend that I see in certain female YanSim characters
This is my first ever post lol, so forgive me if my post is a lil messy. I wanted to post this on the r/Osana Reddit but I don’t have enough “karma” (forgive me I’m newgen). So I decided, why not make a tumblr account? Anyways, I decided to make a post because I noticed something when thinking about certain characters of Yandere Simulator:
“What the heck is up with Y*ndev making seemingly sweet or shy girls secretly turn out to be violent sadists?”
There are at many examples of this type of character trope being presented: Akane, Horuda, Hoshiko, and Honami??? Akane is said to be the sweet, gentle, and kind (albeit a bit ditzy) secretary of the Student Council but in actuality, she’s a cruel and sadistic person. Horuda is said to secretly fantasize about hurting and even killing all the people that bully her—and apparently it’s the same for Honami?? Then there’s Hoshiko, similar to the other gyarus, pretends to preach about the important of positivity and all that but runs a hate blog BUT she also has a sadistic personality while enjoying hurting people.
I’m sure this is just a trope that Y*ndev likes or is fond but still. Couldn’t he have tried varying/changing things up a bit? Like for example, with Akane, he could’ve easily made her to be a narcissist who pretends to be sweet and humble to receive more praise or compliments from boys. Maybe he could’ve made Honami who is passionate about anti-bullying (because of her own personal experiences with it). Her task could’ve been her having Ayano hand out small notes for unpopular/bullied students of Akademi—inviting them to the library as a safe place from bullies? That way, her personality could remain the same but it also shows her disdain for bullying that doesn’t delve into violence. Or, here’s another option: just make them who they portray themselves to be lol??? Not every character needs to have some shocking plot-twist or secret persona that they’re hiding. But if you’re trying to go down that route, at least change it up a bit.
