🖋️ Hey, my name is Evelyn, but most people call me Evie or Eve. I use all pronouns, but they/she mostly. I’m genderfluid!

🌙 I’m a witch, and this is my blog about that. I’m open to answering most questions about my practice, so don’t be afraid to ask! This is also a side blog btw, so i wont be able to reply to comments. I’ll answer/respond to them by @-ing you in a reblog or separate post if need be.

🐈‍⬛ I don’t use any labels on my practice that often, meaning i don’t consider myself a “kitchen witch,” “green witch,” “sea witch,” or anything like that, since I don’t specialize in any specific “type” of witchcraft. i think those labels ARE super fun tho and sometimes tag things as them for organization! if i HAD to choose a few to describe my craft atm, id say mostly cosmic, crystal & elemental witch—but i tend to include a little bit of everything

☀️ I don’t follow any specific religion, but my beliefs are sort of along the ideas of pantheism & animism. I also believe that in a way all religions exist to those who believe in them. It’s a bit complicated lmao, but i dont worship any deities or pantheons, so my practice is mostly secular! though, i do closely work with the elements, and appreciate them sort of in the way someone may worship a deity, so anything on deity work/worship (mostly things like “physical offerings”) i sometimes reblog to take inspiration for my own practice with them.

🔮 im not wiccan, i dont celebrate their wheel of the year or those holidays specifically, but i DO celebrate the solstices & equinoxes because my craft is very aligned with nature & the planets and such. so even though i dont follow specific wiccan traditions or anything, i do celebrate sometimes the same time as they do, and rb many posts about the wheel of the year, since i can apply it to my practice & celebrations :)

🌕 this blog is almost entirety on a queue, meaning you might see posts related to things like holidays posted a while after they’re relevant. thats just how things are on my blogs lol

🌑 this blog is kind of like an online grimoire for me in a way? i post about some spells i do and reblog a bunch of stuff about witchcraft!

💛 i have audhd & anxiety so if i convey my thoughts in an odd or off sort of way, that is probably why! its not always purposeful and i apologize if i say something wrong lol, please be understanding & correct me if need be :)

☽ Closet Witch Tips ☾

Hi, everyone! I spent years living as a closet witch and wishing I had more freedom to practice. Nowadays my living situation is different which allows me to do things I couldn’t before, but I know that there are many witches out there who are still struggling with this so I decided to share some tips on how to practice in the broom closet

Keep in mind these are all suggestions, you don’t need to have an altar, a book of shadows, practice divination, etc if you don’t want to

Altars

(Disclaimer: you don’t need an altar to practice, but in case you still desire to have one)

Inside a jewelry box

Shoe box

Tin can

Matchbox

In a video game such as animal crossing, the sims, minecraft, etc

The #SelfCare app has a little altar in which you can decorate with crystals, herbs and tarot cards

Notebook (then add the items by drawing them or maybe making collages)

Make/buy a little terrarium (artificial or real)

I’ve heard of people using plant vases as altars as well

Divination

(In case you can’t buy tarot decks/runes/etc)

Make your own tarot cards/oracle cards (it can be a little tiring but it’s what I did when I couldn’t buy my own)

Pendulums (doesn’t have to be an actual crystal pendulum as you see on witchy stores, anything on a string will do)

Make runes out of seashells, rocks, clay, etc

Flip a coin for yes and no questions

Give dice divination a try

Deity Worship/Work

Wear jewelry that reminds you of them (ex: sun necklace for apollo, moon ring for artemis, etc)

Wear their associated colors

Practice devotional acts such as reading about them, praying, drawing something for them, writing them a letter, something related to your deity’s domains

Keep a notebook in which you can write their myths/domains/associations/etc or write prayers/poems, make drawings of things they like, etc

Keep a small altar

Watch movies that remind you of them

Play video games associated with their domains

Study something they have domain over

Make them a playlist

Make them a pinterest board

Make a devotional blog

Light a candle in their honor (it’s ok if you can only use LED candles)

Keep something associated with them on your desk/shelf

Keep a crystal associated with them near you

Make a little deity jar and keep it near you

Have a devotional plant for them

Spend time in nature in their honor

Take care of yourself

Book of Shadows

Notebook

Notes app

Google docs or google keep

Tumblr blog (either private or public, up to you)

Somewhere on your phone/computer

Simple Practices

Enchant your jewelry with intention

Use color correspondence in your clothes/makeup

Meditating

Open your windows to cleanse your room

Keep crystals around you

Physically clean your space

Take showers/baths with the intention of cleansing yourself

Try practicing some kitchen magic if you cook

Enchant your food/drink

Make sigils

Keep plants in your space associated with your intention (ex: protection, creativity, etc)

Keep in mind that you’re not any less of a witch for not being able to do certain things, your practice is still valid

Not to be that person but instead of buying that sacred herb closed to a culture and practice you don’t belong to just because some non-Indigenous re-seller advertised it to you as “spiritual magical plant that removes 99,99% of all bad spirits” you could, I don’t know, clean your windows or vacuum. Sometimes cleansing is just cleaning, you know.

i will never forgive the witch community for implanting the idea of trickster spirits into other people's heads. even when no one's talking about it as much nowadays (thankfully due to plentiful debunking) the sheer amount of damage it's done to practitioner's sense of safety even now is too much. religion and/or deity work is supposed to be a beautiful thing, and all this has done is made people afraid to explore that beauty. i'm not saying tricksters aren't real, but they're not going to hunt you for sport for wanting to say hello to a deity.

I also straight up think calling them tricksters did a huge amount of damage. Trickster is an archetype that a number of deities and spirits are considered, deities and spirits that are IMPORTANT and beloved by the people they work with, and quite frankly worries me about the overall community returning to the shitty "if you work with X deity or spirit you're bad or they're taking advantage of you because they are BadEvil" that was super common pre 2010 (most often thrown at people who worked with Loki, Hades, any demons, theistic Satanists, ect)

Calling a spirit that is trying to deceive someone on purpose to steal worship or energy or mess with their practice or otherwise hurt them can just be called a malevolent spirit (and probably 9 times out of 10 the "malevolent spirit" in question is the practioners own mind)

my original post about this lost traction but long story short my dog macy has chronic ear infections due to some unknown allergy. we talked to a vet today that actually cared about her and wanting her to get better. we talked about how to treat the allergy itself versus just treating the ear infections and she gave us some options but we’ve gone through this process so many times that my father is reluctant to pay anymore to help her and it’s making me feel fucking horrible. i don’t want my dog to live in pain anymore. she’s seven years old and has been dealing with this issue since 2018-2019 if i remember correctly. i know that money is tight for everyone right now but this isn’t fair to her. it’s not her fault that she’s been dealing with this for so long.

Italian folk magic - Increase wealth spell

Italian folk magic encompasses a variety of traditional practices and beliefs, including spells aimed at increasing wealth and abundance. I am sharing these generational family spells in hopes to spread knowledge & help to educate beginner folk magic witches / practitioners.

Here's a simple Italian folk magic spell that focuses on attracting financial prosperity:

Materials needed:

- A small green candle

- Olive oil

- A pinch of basil

- A piece of paper

- A pen or pencil

- A small dish or bowl

Instructions:

1. Begin by preparing your workspace. Find a quiet area where you can perform the spell without distractions.

2. Take the green candle and anoint it with olive oil. As you do so, visualize money and abundance flowing towards you. Feel the sense of financial security and freedom.

3. Sprinkle a pinch of basil onto the anointed candle, symbolizing growth and prosperity.

4. Place the candle in a holder and light it, focusing your attention on the flame. Imagine it radiating energy and attracting wealth into your life.

5. Take the piece of paper and write down your financial goals and aspirations. Be specific and clear about what you want to achieve. Visualize yourself already enjoying the abundance and prosperity you desire.

6. Fold the paper and place it in the dish or bowl in front of the candle.

7. As the candle burns, say the following incantation or create your own words:

"By the candle's vibrant glow,

I call upon abundance to flow.

Wealth and riches come to me,

As I will, so mote it be."

8. Sit quietly for a few moments, focusing on your intention and the energy you've raised. Feel gratitude for the financial blessings that are on their way to you.

9. Allow the candle to burn completely or extinguish it if you need to leave the area. If you decide to extinguish it, relight the candle when you return until it burns out completely.

10. Keep the folded paper in a safe place, such as a wallet or a drawer, to reinforce your intention and remind yourself of your financial goals.

Remember, while spells can be a meaningful way to focus your intention and energy, they should be seen as tools for empowerment and manifestation. It's important to also take practical actions and make responsible financial decisions to support your goal of increasing wealth.
