Hermes *literally two minutes into the play*: ok this is a tragedy, it's an old song and we're gonna sing it exactly like it's been sung before and it's tragic because that's how the song goes!
Me: ok, but like, not this time right??

the fact that on my way out of seeing the hadestown proshot with my sibling i was walking to the theater exit and without even thinking about it i turned around to see where they were... yeah. yeah.
like. you can be frustrated at orpheus. you can be heartbroken for orpheus and eurydice. you should be. but when you're walking together and your loved one isn't right next to you that instinct to turn around and check on them is as natural as breathing
once you watch twin peaks you carry laura with you everywhere
i am not immune to a well choreographed fight scene with a fun song in the background
it's funny when quotes from communist figures breach containment online and people are like "btw in case you didn't know this guy was really problematic"
what characters from the owl house did mao ship
if you don’t remember this man abused his wife to the point where she was so mentally ill she decided to pee for hours on end and starved people to the point where they ate their neighbors kids… maybe
Genuinely what do you mean by “she was so mentally ill she decided to pee for hours on end” what does that mean. I can find nothing on this and the human body cannot physically do that. Is this a typo???
Well, the best description for this would be that she decided she was going to pee on drip, which is why it would take. All day. She also also known for abusing the people who worked for her but given who her husband was, I’m not surprised
Which of Maos wives was this and where is your source
Fourth one, and I heard this one from a friend’s dad, who had family working for them at the time. Lived experience is good enough for me, as I know them personally, but you can take it or leave it
its actually very funny to me that lynchs work has this reputation of being very weird and confusing and opaque and so when you watch it you kinda go in expecting to have to sus out a lot of subtle metaphor and symbolism and like certainly its got its fair share but mostly the thing people find so weird about it i think is that he creates these story worlds where the rules of reality are bent to allow for as much literal communication as possible. so much of his work is just characters telling you whats going on and what it means to them so bluntly that it like loops and sounds completely bizarre, like listening to someone describe a dream they had with perfect recall and clarity. it rules. i love being autistic actually.
Like a new friend!

side benefit of communal all-gender restrooms is that they may be our best chance to shame cis men into washing their hands
i was in a communal all-gender restroom today and as i was washing my hands a middle-aged man came out of one of the stalls, started to make for the door, clocked me standing at the sinks, and changed course to wash his hands with a real hangdog look on his face

My hot take headcanon is that Vash doesn't use hair gel, his hair just does that. Like I headcanon that his hair is actually a bunch of thin feathers or feather-like filaments sort of like pycnofibers/protofeathers, and he can move them either at will and/or based on his mood to some degree.
Some of my evidence:
I don't think we ever actually see him use hair gel, and a point is made about how he doesn't carry much stuff with him beyond the essentials and a few sentimental items. None of his bits and bobs given back to him post-ark appeared to be hair gel that I can recall.
When he's extra depressed his hair kinda droops like he's a sad fern.
The times when he has his hair fully down is usually when he's in a relaxed state, the longest period being at the colony he considers home with all his friends there having a chill time.
A couple times when he's tired/exhausted his hair has a sort of halfway stood up state different from when it's completely down like it's trying to stand up but can't manage it all the way. For example, during that one chapter when he's waking up for his morning routine, or during the escape from the ark. It could just be messy, but it also could be because he's low on physical energy in those moments and his hair is reflecting that.
When his hair is long as Eriks he wouldn't have any need to gel it, so it should just lie totally flat, but he's still got those big ol sailor moon bangs in the front, almost as if his hair is still trying to stand up on instinct but is just too heavy at that length for it to completely stand on end.
Dependent plant hair seems to be made of feathers so it is in the realm of possibility for his biology.
The only place feathers don't seem to sprout from his body when his powers are going haywire is the top of his head. Coincidence? Or could it be because there are already feathers up there already?
I sincerely doubt that Rem put hair gel on a baby.

In medias res, translates from Latin as “in the middle of things”, a literary device used to suggest a crucial point where transformation is made.
On the Road to Hell there was a railroad station And a man with feathers on his feet Who could take you to your final destination Mister Hermes... that's me!

Not enough people talking about Andre De Shields. That man has such a presence, such a graceful way of moving. Blessed are those who see the proshot for they have experienced thee one and only Andre De Shields.
