Birds I saw at Chollas Lake Park:

Swan geese (many of them)

Leucistic (?) mallard drake

Mallard hen defending her ducklings from a pair of gulls

Cormorants (likely neotropic, but my ID is tentative since I'm not overly familiar with cormorants)

Great egret

Pigeons... :)

There were also some red-eared sliders (I think) in one of these photos. I got a closer look at some in another part of the lake and that is what they seemed to be.
