You can watch a movie on your Atari 2600 now. Yes really.
MovieCart is an Atari 2600 cartridge developed by Lodef Mode that allows you to load custom movies to it and play them on your real-life, honest-to-goodness Atari 2600 console.
Even if you don't want to go through the trouble of converting and loading your own movie onto the cart via SD card, the SD card bundled with MovieCart comes with Night of the Living Dead preloaded!
Check out a demo here
They're sold out for now but keep an eye on Lodef's Tindie shop for future sales.
I have seen people in the Facebook Atari groups talking about theirs with the occasional photo of their screens playing movies. And the creator says (posted a week ago on 3/14) he is working on making some improvements to future renditions for more stability.
DSi XL/LL, PSP-3000 screens compared. This new model is huuuugeeee. How does Nintendo expect gamers to hold this massive system up without their arms going tired after a few minutes? (I’m only half-joking about this).
Japanese gaming news site Game Watch also did a DS Lite versus XL/LL comparison, which has already been done to death, I know, but this one shows the two models playing Arika’s Aa Mujou Setsuna (Oh Heartless Moment)!
Import: Japanese Nintendo DSi XL/LL (Natural White, Dark Brown, Wine Red) & Standard DSi (White, Black, Pink, Red, Lime Green, Metallic Blue)
Buy: U.S. Nintendo DSi (White, Pink, Black and Blue)

hello. Im steepling my hands like an evil villain. Would you happen to know what the restrictions of the 3ds browser are, exactly? Eg, why most sites don’t work on it aside from ao3? I do neocities and have too much free time.
i think it's largely due to the fact that modern browsers simply have more features. the best way to make a website able to work on 3DS would be to avoid using any modern CSS- avoiding things like flexbox and instead use <table> ect ect.
to do a bit more research, i'd recommend looking into the browser that its based on and what things it can render. (which i linked above)
it's also important to keep in mind that the 3DS will automatically resize any text to be readable, so that could mess up layouts ect.
when making a website for 3DS imagine you are making it for a very low resolution phone.
^ once you're done, then you could add this button to your site proudly ^-^
yes- you are fully correct, however, this ask was specifically about writing a neocities page for the 3ds.
neocities sites load on the 3DS just fine iirc. it's just about getting the styling right for the 3ds ^-^
to be fair I am the kind of freak who attempts to recreate a windows 7 desktop using nothing but templates and wit, so if there’s a way, I’m gonna find it!
though, it’s very funny to me that ao3 apparently doesn’t do this??Like nope, no security checks! Hell my laptop that actually runs windows 7 (the version it came with, I think) can connect to that. Fanfiction really is timeless.
if you click on the link and scroll down you'll see that someone has already made a template for you to look at ! <3 glhf!
How do you spell this word
disc
disk
They're actually interchangable, but for History Reasons optical discs got called "discs" (from the latin discus, meaning a round flat thing), while discs in cartridges got called "disks", as a shortened version of diskette, by analogy with "cassette": a small case.
So laserdiscs, CDs, DVDs, blu-rays, and similar are all "discs": They're generally rigid circles, without a case that protects them.
While floppy disks are "disks": They're a flexible (ie "floppy") magnetic circle inside a plastic/vinyl/metal case.
But all that said, no one will misunderstand you if you type "floppy disc" or "blu-ray disk". So it's a distinction without a meaning: it's just historical etymology differences. Say/type whichever you want.
