And like to think that in universe, by the time Max was born, Mickey was already an established cartoon icon that Max looked up too and Goofy, who was also already an established cartoon icon (and likewise with Donald of course), decided to take a break from Disney for a while (with the occasional cameo here and there) to raise his son and attempt to give him the most normal childhood (or as normal as it gets for Goffy standards lol) he can give him 💕
