I do think Rocky usually beats Grace because he’s just better at chess than Grace. However. Consider that this is a funny one-off option.
We all love the "Thorin builds Bilbo a garden in Erebor" trope, but I ESPECIALLY love it when building a garden turns into a group project.
Not just between Thorin and the company but also between kingdoms.
When Thorin has to suck it up and put his pride aside to ask Dale for soil and Mirkwood for seeds! Thats the good shit.
Both because it shows that Thorin would do anything for Bilbo and because it shows just how many people Bilbos little acts of simple kindness have touched
Yes but also all the Dwarves getting involved!
Kíli killed every plant he touched, untill he actually started listening to Bilbo's instruction.
Fíli likes making lollipop bushes, and tying up peas and roses, and all the architectural planting.
Ori actually discovers he likes veg he grew himself: 'tis a revelation.
Thorin is trusted with exactly one orchid. It died. He bought another off a seller from Mirkwood and pretended it was the same one as he was given to mind. Bilbo doesn't tell him that he knows it's a different plant since Thorin's actually doing a good job keeping this one flourishing now he knows how fragile they are.
Nori has an allotment dedicated to poisonous plants, for "research purposes."
I'm not sure who of the others would really get involved in the running side of things, but surely they all got involved in the building of it.
In general, I also just love Hobbit and/or Bagginshield fics which show off how Dwarrow actually know about farming, agriculture, plants, etc., because it makes zero sense for a whole race to not understand how to garden before meeting one single Hobbit. (There's nuance there, obviously, but that's the basis of my thoughts on it.)
Also, I agree with all of the above!
This was supposed to be a silly sketch but I re discovered the curves feature on procreate (actual life saver)
Based on the concept by @leol (felidae stewjoni au)
(I am yet to read the master doc fully but I rly liked the concept)

When you're reading a Thorin/Bilbo fanfic, you notice it doesn't have many tags, but the summary is so good that you decide to give it a chance. As you keep reading, you realize the plot is amazing, until certain details start to throw you off. Suddenly, it's mentioned that Kíli and Fíli are soulmates, and you think, "Oh, they probably mean platonic soulmates, or just that they're brothers with an incredibly strong bond. There's no way this is going to be romantic."
But deep down, you know that's probably not the case. You start noticing little hints that make you suspect the author is eventually going to pair them together. Even so, you keep reading, hoping you're wrong. Then the moment finally comes when the relationship is confirmed, and the whole story is ruined for you. You can't stop thinking about that part, and it ends up overshadowing everything else that was great about the fic. In the end, you just drop it and delete it because the idea of Kíli and Fíli as a romantic couple makes you uncomfortable. To you, they're brothers, and you simply can't see them any other way.
The worst part is that this has happened to me far too many times. So many fanfics with incredible, genuinely interesting plots end up being ruined because the authors don't tag from the beginning that Kíli and Fíli will have a romantic relationship. If that information were included in the tags, I could simply avoid reading those fics in the first place and spare myself the disappointment of getting invested in a story I was genuinely enjoying. Has this ever happened to you? And could someone please recommend a story where this doesn't happen, where they're just brothers and the pairing is Bilbo/Thorin?
Jango: *holding boba in air after he tried to bite obi wan* I am so sorry about him he's a little feral
Obi wan: *tears in his eyes, thinking about raising anakin* your the only one I know that understands what its like
Hobbits and the language of flowers.
And Bilbo using it to be a petty bitch. I love him.
These took me, and I kid you not, HOURS to complete and they’re not even detailed…. *weeping*
Hobbit/Dwarf cultural misunderstandings are DELISH I eat it up every time. And, Kili, sweetheart, that’s a bit forward even for a dwarf…
Little birthday Filiori doodle for @slugz01 ! 🎂

I've always wanted to draw what the daily school life of Thorin and his peers would be like! can you guess who's whom? 🍎
list of lads to find: Thorin, Dís, Frerin, Óin, Glóin, Balin, and Dwalin
@anastheseus - author of this idea
I totally see the parallels between these two couples - it really could've been the Arkenstone instead of a rose
I also tried my hand at drawing a short comic for the first time. I hope the concept comes through. Basically, Thorin was a giant, overgrown beast while cursed, but even after the curse was lifted, he stayed exactly the same(mostly because he’s just naturally that huge and hairy anyway)
You don't have to grieve alone.
