★ SLASHERS | CHRISTMAS TIME WITH THEM ★
➥ pairing: m!slasher x gn!reader
➥ characters: michael myers, thomas hewitt, brahms heelshire, jason voorhees, billy lenz
➥ warnings: probably none. just dudes beings dudes, guys being guys lmfao. a lot of sap and fluff tho. (i prefer 1974 billy, but i took some inspiration from the 2006 movie)
➥ a/n: i just got this silly little idea while i was christmas shopping and wanted to jot it down. please don't get mad that i didn't write what they gift you, i kept overthinking how i could make everything neutral. hope you like it!! (i cried writing this btw)
★ MICHAEL MYERS ★
➥ WHAT YOU GIFT HIM: of course he's not going to have a wish list, or hint at what he wants for a gift. he most likely doesn't even care or expect one anyways. he sometimes spins his knife in his hand out of boredom, but you've noticed it's a bit difficult to maneuver such a thick handle and long blade without slicing himself or dropping it. so you gift him a butterfly knife. of course michael knows exactly how to play with it, and he plays with it as much as possible. the more he plays with it, the less tense he seems while doing so. you may not get any type of obvious gratitude from him, but he's never felt more seen from anyone before. even the boogeyman gets anxious.
➥ WHAT YOU DO TOGETHER: he's not around 24/7, usually gone days or even weeks at a time doing god knows what. when it comes to christmas and the sentimentality of it all, he first plans to ditch until the new year to avoid the awkwardness. but he's become soft less selfish since knowing you and he knows that you enjoy his company. he decides to stay home. no ifs, ands, or buts. (mostly because he can't think of a good enough reason to leave you at a time like this.) he'll tolerate doing whatever you wish to do, with a preference of "taste-testing" your christmas treats. but don't get all mushy and sappy with him or he'll leave the room. that's as far as his love language will go.
➥ OVERALL SCORE: 7/10 - quite surprising considering who you're celebrating with.
★ THOMAS HEWITT ★
➥ WHAT YOU GIFT HIM: growing up in a dysfunctional and poor household, christmas was more of just a school holiday for him. tommy would be lucky to get a new coat from the local church coat drive, but it was rare for someone of his size to donate. even as an adult, his clothes are basically hanging on by a thread. both he and luda mae have had to tear apart and stitch together different fabrics from multiple articles of clothing, and he was on his own for shoes. he's had to steal them from multiple victims and alter them to his own size and even then it wasn't good enough. the chafing from the mismatched clothes he can take, but the blisters and sprains from his shoes was where he was most miserable. so you gift him a new pair of boots. they were perfect; wide-fit, steel-toed, and plenty sturdy for any type of work. when he tried them on for the first time, he cried. he's never had something that's fit him so well since he was a small child when luda mae would make his clothes.
➥ WHAT YOU DO TOGETHER: the christmas spirit is a bit sparse in the dingy old farmhouse, especially with hoyt and monty being the biggest scrooges in texas. festivities in general were really unheard of in the hewitt household - they just had more important things to worry about. the closest thing you can find for decorations was a few decorative candles and some old ribbon. so what could you do that would bring everyone together? easy - you decide to bake christmas cookies. ingredients were a bit hard to come by, but you two did the best you could with what you had. when it came to decorating the cookies, he had the most fun with the piping bag. his careful hands and precision skills made the most beautiful decorations that they were almost too perfect too eat, and everyone got their share. although not everyone joined in on the baking or decorating, you were right about one thing - food brings family together.
➥ OVERALL SCORE: 7/10 - it's sweet and homey, but hoyt and monty can't stay jolly forever.
★ BRAHMS HEELSHIRE ★
➥ WHAT YOU GIFT HIM: being the one and only heir of the heelshire fortune, he can get anything and everything he could ever want at anytime, but he hasn't recieved a proper gift in years, especially one that's come from the heart. he loves to read; fantasy, romance, horror, anything he can lose himself in for a little while. he's read every book in his home at least twice now, yet his most treasured was half burnt from the fire that nearly cost him his life and is now sitting on the highest shelf in his room for safe keeping. it pained him to leave his favorite world in the dust, and it pained you more to see him so miserable, so you tracked down a first edition of his favorite book - peter pan by j. m. barrie. at first he was astonished by how you could find such a novelty, but then his heart warmed at the amount of love put into his gift that he almost forgot about it entirely. instead of keeping this world to himself, he wanted to share it with you this time.
➥ WHAT YOU DO TOGETHER: when he was a boy, he was apart of the local church boys choir and would go caroling door to door every christmas. he was a gifted countertenor, and while he wasn't a fan of going out and socializing, he enjoyed singing and he still does it under his breath from time to time. when going through the christmas decorations, you find some old christmas records, and decide to surprise him with the idea of at-home caroling. obviously he wasn't opposed to the idea, being a lover of music and staying home. he was most excited to sing the forein folk songs (definitely not humble-bragging his multilingual skills). he even mixes in a waltz in some of the slower instrumental tracks - because, of course, he is an amazing dancer. the night ends with you two snuggled up by the fire while old hymns played in the background and his soft baritone voice lulling you to sleep.
➥ OVERALL SCORE: 8/10 - although you stay home, nothing else can compare to being with each other.
★ JASON VOORHEES ★
➥ WHAT YOU GIFT HIM: the only way he gets an inkling that it's christmas time is the snow. he doesn't keep a calendar, and frankly he doesn't even care. ever since his mother died, he lost hope in ever having the simple joy of christmas or even sharing it with anyone again. ever since meeting you, he feels hope again, but no matter how much he wants to keep you to himself 24/7, he knows he can't keep you from the world and that you have other matters to attend to in town. you can't bear to be apart from him knowing how much it breaks his heart, so you stop by the local animal shelter and adopt a puppy. when he first lays eyes on it, all his worries have melted away. he's found something so pure and loyal and full of life that didn't recoil when first seeing his disfigured face and hulking form, but instead attacked his face with kisses and love-filled scratches. while jason will still missed you while you are away, his new friend will fill in that gap and keep him grounded, and even help him with securing the camp when it gets bigger. he could have never asked for anything more perfect as a gift.
➥ WHAT YOU DO TOGETHER: there isn't much to do living in a heavily wooded area that's christmas-related, but being surrounded by all these trees gives you an idea - you could decorate a tree. jason lets you choose the tree and, of course, he has the job of chopping it down and setting it in a pail of water to keep it fresh. you collect pinecones, rocks, broken glass, anything that can be recycled as ornaments. you also find old paints and glitter from one of the cabins that is surprisingly still good. you both spend time together decorating your makeshift ornaments and putting them on the tree, and he even lifts you by the waist to put the star on the tree you made from twigs and twine. it's no traditional christmas tree, but to the two of you it's perfect.
➥ OVERALL SCORE: 9/10 - stay close to the fire because you're guaranteed a white christmas.
★ BILLY LENZ ★
➥ WHAT YOU GIFT HIM: he's always enjoyed receiving new items, anything from toys, books, or even clothes. he never really cared about the sentiment considering his limited emotional and mental capacity. he eventually gets bored of one thing and moves on to the next, but his favorite thing is his book about the solar system. he's always been fascinated with all things space related. you'd even catch him some nights watching the stars and tracing his fingers across the pages of constellations in his book. so you gift him a telescope. his normally jittery and hyper self is uncharacteristically calm when he sees it. the memory of his father gifting him a telescope just like it when he was a boy creeps into his mind, and a single tear falls from his cheek. every night from then on when the stars are the most clear, he drags you from your bed and up to the attic and says in the most childlike way, "come watch the stars with me, y/n!"
➥ WHAT YOU DO TOGETHER: because of his agoraphobic tendencies, he never strays too far from his attic, only leaving to see you or if he absolutely has to. he'd let himself starve or freeze to death, but never die of boredom. when he's done playing with his toys and reading anything he can find, he finds the courage to leave his place of solitude and goes to watch the tv. it's become his favorite activity over time, so to try to coax him out of the attic a bit more, you bring out your collection of christmas movies. with enough convincing, he accepts the invitation and you let him choose the first film - white christmas. eventually, the jokes and easy-going feel of the film loosens his grip on your hand and he lets himself relax, and he ended up falling asleep on your shoulder during the fourth movie.
➥ OVERALL SCORE: 7/10 - as long as the little menace can stay out of the cookie dough, you're set.
