Surana genuinely amazes Zevran. From being able to survive things he shouldn’t (Ostagar, the Joining, a lightning strike, the Crows…), to openly trusting someone like him. Being given the chance for a redemption arc is incredibly attractive. It also helps that Surana has a very pretty face.
