Henry Kissinger the Statesman dies 🇺🇸🗽🇻🇮
Henry Kissinger born Heinz Alfred Kissinger (Fürth 27 May 1923 – Kent 29 November 2023).
“…but Jesus, calling them to him, said: <<The leaders of the nations, you know, dominate over them and the great ones exercise power over them>> (Gospel according to Matthew, 20, v. 25-26)”.
This verse of the Gospel seemed appropriate to me, in fact, whether you are religious or secular, the Nazarene refers not so much to the Kings, but to the men who stand behind the Kings and build the Kings: the Councillors, the Generals, etc... This verse does not refer to King Arthur, but to the Wizard Merlin, to Statesmen of both Republics and Monarchies! To the various Men and Women who deal with Power! To the various Machiavellis (in a good sense) of Public Affairs! And there is no doubt that Henry Kissinger was! The world loses a giant of history and power, an ambitious man, but a man at the service of the State and his country!
