the premise of the green knight is so fucking wild. dude was literally like "whosoever strikes me, even the teeniest little hit, will win the game - but they have to come back to me in a year and ill return the exact same blow to them" and gawain was like "radical." and chopped his whole fuckin head off
i’m ready for june. the purest month. the friday afternoon of summer, when the world hums with possibility. when spring kisses summer on the cheek, leaves behind a trail of ferns and dew. june is packing your suitcase for a trip. june is a sprinkler in the lawn. june is goodbye and hello all at once. every day feels like the first moment after you wake up, when the dreams still stick to your skin. we wander dazed and hazy in the infant months of heat and sun. we are lovely and unafraid
open a new window somewhere in the world.
i love this because it’s such a simple concept but it answers things i didn’t even know how to ask
Looking out of people’s windows is such a peaceful way of travelling… I got a snowfall in Argentina, a nice sea view in Ukraine, a clothes line in the fog in Bangalore. Antonella from Tavernaro, I like your wooden bird.
It looks like it might rain in this one place in germany very windy and the leaves are turning upside down. Someone is typing! And just got a discord notif.
This person in Columbia is listening to music and the clouds are so pretty.
Another person in germany has an AMAZING view of the sunset
There’s a beautiful snowfall in Finland
hello to the cat in the window looking at the bird at the feeder!!!
Oh how lovely
“Within the lesbian community I am Black, and within the Black community I am a lesbian. Any attack against Black people is a lesbian and gay issue, because I and thousands of other Black women are part of the lesbian community. Any attack against lesbians and gays is a Black issue, because thousands of lesbians and gay men are Black. There is no hierarchy of oppression. It is not accidental that the Family Protection Act, which is virulently anti-woman and anti-Black, is also anti-gay. As a Black person, I know who my enemies are, and when the Ku Klux Klan goes to court in Detroit to try and force the Board of Education to remove books the Klan believes ‘hint at homosexuality,’ then I know I cannot afford the luxury of fighting one form of oppression only. I cannot afford to believe that freedom from intolerance is the right of only one particular group. And I cannot afford to choose between the fronts upon which I must battle these forces of discrimination, wherever they appear to destroy me. And when they appear to destroy me, it will not be long before they appear to destroy you.”

have you ever noticed you pick up little habits and phrases from the people you love? it’s no wonder our hearts are so easily broken when people leave. we become a reflection of the people that we care about and those personality traits stick with us even if the people don’t
I make my ramen the way a friend taught me in eleventh grade. Every fall, I listen to a playlist made for me by a boy I drove across a border to hook up with. I eat sushi because a girl who won’t talk to me anymore made me try it, and Indian food because my best friend’s parents ordered for me before I knew what I liked. There are movies I love because someone I loved loved them first. I am a mosaic of everyone I’ve ever loved, even for a heartbeat.

i didn’t understand why i preferred summertime until li-young lee wrote “from blossoms” i’m barely being hyperbolic
“there are days we live // as if death were nowhere // in the background” that’s it that’s the feeling of waking up at 2 PM on a monday. that’s the harsh lights and cold linoleum of the grocery store that sells cheap ice cream. that’s the feeling of sinking into sand, of being swallowed by the sounds the ocean makes. that’s the smell of sprinkler water evaporating from hot asphalt. that’s the juice from fresh strawberries, or watermelons, or peaches. that’s the cool night air that holds the gemini constellation and tickles your skin. in all those things, in all those moments death is nowhere, not even in the background

For science:
I’d like to see which Shakespeare plays people were required to read in high school (not that you chose to read, but ones that were actually assigned and discussed), so reblog or comment!
