obsessed where stories where it is like. the mistakes are unfixable and the worst thing that could happen happened and nothing can go back to how it was. but there was still love in this and love will continue after this and love endures always.

The Starless Sea is for those who don't need to control everything. The Starless Sea is not a book to be understood in its entirety, and trying to reason everything out, to rationalize this world, trying to discover its locations, its heroes, its forgotten gods who write their own myths, is to miss what the book is. Sometimes an "underground library" simply exists, and painted doors can open, hearts can be in boxes, and Time always waits for Fate.
this is easy to forget when you're not in the middle of reading a book but reading books makes your life a lot more enjoyable
how it feels to read 85 pages of a book in one sitting
maybe usa politics would be less corrupt if we took the alec lightwood route and elected a 23 year old gay man with a 400 year old eccentric wizard husband and two adopted children ( one is blue mini wizard and one is a war orphan )
andrew minyard never skips therapy. his best friend is a born-again knife-wielding christian ex-gangster. his other best friend is a 6'2" lacrossehockey prodigy/recovering alcoholic with a face tattoo. he doesn't smile. his situationship got him to stop doing drugs by buying him a maserati. he didn't meet his own twin brother until they were fifteen years old. he's been to jail. he is five feet even. he's the best goalie in the league and he couldn't care less. he gets in the shower fully clothed to give neil josten a blowjob. he's a chainsmoking pro athlete. he killed his own mother. he's getting a criminal justice degree as a joke. he picked the guy with a dozen fake names and a mafioso daddy to be with forever. he's a scorpio. the closest thing he's ever had to a father is his college exy coach. he loves hot chocolate and ice cream and clubbing with his cousin.
andrew minyard character of all time.
it’s crazy how much you can read if you read
the trifecta
Mortal Instruments moments that have lived rent free in my head since middle school
when alec lightwood got fucked by his nearly demonic boyfriend, he got promoted to consul but when i, benedict lightwood
I have a long-standing tradition with every book I read: I always read the first chapter, then skip to the last page to see the last sentence. Just the last sentence. It keeps my spoiler-hungry pigeon brain with terrible impulse control from failing the marshmallow test and reading the whole last chapter because I can’t wait to see what happens. It’s never a good idea and I wanna do it every time. So no! One sentence is all you get! You have to READ the rest of the book to see how they get from that first chapter to that FINAL SENTENCE.
Imagine my surprise upon picking up Apparently Sir Cameron Needs To Die, allegedly a fantasy novel,
Dear r/relationships, the guy (25M/Vulture/F/M) who I (Old M) am keeping hostage(?) in my castle keeps trying to fuck me and it’s really fucking with my timeline for killing God. What should I do.

Actually the thing about the Mortal Instruments is that these books are intrinsically tied to 2000s emo culture TO ME. Any proper adaptation of these books would lean heavily into the 2007 of it all and have an all-emo/pop-punk soundtrack.
good news citizens! while i was at the beach, i successfully indoctrinated another gullible child into using LIBBY. my best friend LIBBY. the library app on your PHONE that gives you FREE EBOOKS AND AUDIOBOOKS with the tap of a finger! are you sick of incurring late fees? giving your hard earned money to jeff bezos? Libby has it for you.
i just remembered the time my coworker told me she used to be into aftg but only through reading fanfiction and she'd never actually read the books. what do you mean you've spent hours reading about neil josten but you don't know "you know, i get it-"
