Meet my barbarian dryad! Backstory under the cut for anyone curious :-)

Silas is a tree that was brought to life because a woman fell in love with them, very much in fairy tale/storybook fashion. Years later, when Silas began to rot away, they recognized their impending death as part of the natural cycle of life; but their lover couldn't accept it. She made a deal with a dark god to trade her life in order to help Silas. This god turned the lover into a magical moss that covers Silas, slowly spreading.

The moss makes Silas stronger and more powerful while competing with the rotting in order to keep them alive. Silas normally has a very mellow, Eeyore-like personality, but sometimes, the moss fills them with a blind, powerful anger (raging). Silas never cared one way or another about staying alive before - but now that their lover's life (or whatever is left of her) is connected to their own, they are afraid to die for the first time in their long life.

I never got to play this character, but I always thought it would be kinda cool for Silas's send-off to be the moss overtaking them completely, turning them into a Big Bad for the party to fight >:]
