“I know the plans I have for you,” announces the Lord. “I want you to enjoy success. I do not plan to harm you. I will give you hope for the years to come. Jeremiah 29:11
this song wrecks me every time.
“A friend loves at all times.”
— Proverbs 17:17 (via letyourheart-belight)
Come to Me - inspired by Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Heartbreak is knowing that I can’t save every abused or mistreated animal in the world.
Heartbreak is knowing that the $10 I give to the homeless man on the street corner will only get him dinner for the night and then he’ll be back to where he was before.
Heartbreak is knowing that I can’t heal my friends’ insecurities or make them love themselves any more than they already do.
Heartbreak is knowing that I can’t resolve my parents broken relationship.
I wish with all of my being that I could patch everything up in the world- take away all the pain, all the injustice, all the hunger, suffering, and poverty… but I can’t. I’m just one person. And recognizing that is like a knife to the gut.
But what I can do is be kind to everyone I come across; put myself in people’s shoes & show them some grace instead of hate; try to understand people instead of judging them; love every single person & creature I meet with all the strength I have within me, and pray that even if that’s not enough, it’ll still help- that it’ll still do something.
And you can, too.
“My daughter, let your heart be filled with joy. I, the Lord, am with you. Fear nothing. You are in my heart.”
— Jesus to Saint Faustina in her Diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul
“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
— Hebrews 13:16
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you;   bind them around your neck,   write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name   in the sight of God and man.
Proverbs 3:3-4 (via worshipgifs)
